Any way you can have this take into account attached ships? I have a large grid ship that uses hydrogen engines to go from the planet into space. If I attach my small grid mining ship to it then the ship won't hover in atmosphere and slowly sinks because the vanilla calculation does not take connected ship mass into account. I was hoping this mod might fix that but alas my ship still sinks.

That kinda makes sense, I guess. Simply rescaling the large grid textures would look odd on a small grid.

When the game triggers the dampener function it reads the specs of every thruster on the grid and applies the highest slowdown factor to all thrusters. That's where this block comes in - it's just a dummy thruster that fools the game into applying a higher dampening effect.

Try raising the slowdown to 10 and try it yourself. It works in any direction and the effects are umissable at that level.

The reason you don't feel like its working is because the effect is deliberately very mild.

So, I looked into this mod myself because It didn't feel like its working, Well, it's because its doesn't work as advertised, this is only an .sbc mod, there is a script but just for emissives. This only applies the slow down thrust in the direction its facing as if it were a thruster. Also tanya the 11MB is because he had to make a small ship version.

how is this 11MB? You're recycling a vanilla asset for the model, so is the script itself somehow 11MB or is there something I'm missing here?
