90% of my mountains tiles are this. It's fun once in a while but when all of my quests bug out because of this mod, its unuseable.

Is there a way to reduce the abundance of tiles with this biome? I like it, but I don't want 80% of my mountainous tiles to have these cave systems, which is what's happening ATM.

is it possible to make another version off this but instead its for impassible terrain?
while impassable map maker mod is fine, the maps are VERY boring and dont make natural sense

on a different note i wonder if its possible to make a new map type called cavernous as an alternative for impassible at least on land

"This function may not work if other mods that modify GenStep_CaveHives are also enabled, such as Better Infestations (mod is compatible with Better Infestations, it's only hive generation setting that don't work)."

Better Infestation mod setting takes priority unfortunately, so perhaps try to disable the cave hives on Better Infestation mod settings if possible.

Hey there, awesome mod, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the instects/hives not to spawn. I've tried toggling the options in the settings but to no avail. Could it be because I'm also using Better Infestations and VFE - Instecoids? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, perfectly roofed map doesn't play with drop pods nicely which is why I added lake and two entry points on edge, which should be enough to account for vanilla content. Unfortunate to hear some modded content still doesn't work, I don't know how to fix it other than further compromising map identity by making more open areas.

Heya, just wanted to let you know there are some bugs/issues with this mod involving things like drop pods and modded drop-pod like entities (such as rim-heli and SRTS) when you send them to a mountain, as they sometimes land in spots where they're not supposed to be able to. So a helicopter will land somewhere and disappear (along with all of its contents and pawns) if they land in one of the mountainside things.
No idea if anything can fix this or if it's even worth bothering about, but it doesn't matter overmuch for me, I can make it work with some dev mode shenanigans ;)

So yeah your mod has to be loaded before RC to not mess with his procedural generation specificly with the mountain biome cave taged. In other word your mod works great as intended and there is real no incompatibilities!

When you click mountain map tile and select details with precipitation amount etc., some will have cave tags.

Wait a minute, where do you see the cave tag ingame? I miss something cause i've searched for it in vain, while i've seen your mod working great so that is for what i'm assuming your mod use the vanilla mountain biom

@ Maza! [FR] I have no idea when it comes to mod compatibility questions because I have no idea what RimCities do code-wise, only good way to figure out compatibility issue is to actually try it in-game unfortunately.

Hello there, is that compatible with the rimcities mod? I was able to obtain nice inhabited crash starting area with roads and buildinds at center into a "impassable" biome mountain enabled by a mod.

I think I found the reason of my issue. I was choosing a specific scenario that was trying to spawn colonists from the edges of the map instead of the middle. That scenario is the one from Vanilla Faction Expanded Insectoids.

Disabled all mods other then this one and still no caves I spent 15 mins looking for the tile not sure why either. sucks because this mod is one of my favorites and I dont like playing without it

I've tried to replicate the problem but have trouble doing it, does the issue with map generation occur when all other mods are disabled as well? I've reuploaded my local copy of the mod too in case something went wrong during Steam upload process.

when starting a colony on a terrain with caves sometimes pawns don't spawn.

if only i'd spent thirty seconds reading more carefully, i'd have saved the *three hours* I just spent bisecting my mod-list, trying to figure out why this mod "wasn't working" on my impassable-tiles-with-caves.

Im having some issues, namely when i install a wall or other ceiling supporting structure the mountainous ceiling collapses. i think its because it only updated the check to see if the ceiling is supported after i place something. this has cause my colonists to die several times...

Great mod but would it be possible to have coastal areas generate a cave system and a coast?
