Well, it was a good try, but didn't work. When the trough is made impassable with the other mods, the livestock won't eat from it.

Can we have a version of this that's impassible to animals? For solutions like having a feeder between two animal pens, one for male and one for female animals, having this feed both sides but still keeping them separate?

My colonist won't put the grazing feed from animal food extended into the trough for some reason. It's the only thing allowed in the trough it's the only place to put it.

I love the design and look of the troughs, but could they be made to work like shelves with multiple stacks per space? They've atmospheric, but they're not efficient anymore because of shelves.

@AfterShox Its just a storage building, so any pawn that likes the food stored can eat it

maybe a dumb question but does this also work for dogs? like will the dog eat from it

Then state its their JOB? Its in no way their job. They decided to update a old mod to work now. Could they have made changes.. sure. Are they required to? Not in slightest.

And you can access the mod and edit it if you think it should be done. Demanding they do it just because you want it? I would not be surprised at all if they refuse to do it out of spite now even if could/wanted to change it.

i installed satisfied storage and it did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. i can only feed my animals things i do not have because the creator did an absolutely braindead move and decided to only allow two specific items.

@Ominos - There is a mod called Satisfied Storage that allows you to set maximum cell amount.

@Ominos Not really possible, this is a simple XML-mod. But there should be other mods that lets you define max-amount of items to store in each storage

I wish I could expand beyond "animal feed" options. I ended up with NO hay because of a luck land of horses I brought home. But I still had a metric butt-ton of rice and potatoes and no good way to give it to my new horses.

I mean , why not just allow us to choose what food we want in there like everything else in the game. why limit us to only hay and kibble?
Although, thats probably all I will put in there anyway but that's not the point. Like what if I wanted my pigs to eat that guy I secretly killed because I hate his temper tantrums? Also I feed my pets Nutrifungus as well, that's what got me here in the first place because when I use storage spots to feed pets, my pawns will still take from those damn spots, they don't see it as feeding for the animals. I'm still subscribing though, just sayin' is all.

why add Pemmican to the food too considering thats allso what animals will eat not just 2 that take forever to make

@Thundercraft Regarding the intention of the mod you would have to ask the original author. I assume this is more of an RP mod.

Wouldn't adding in preventing deterioration from being outdoors/unroofed be a simple setting on the object to add that in?
