To be honest, I'm not really a fan of the modding environment of DE.
I did add my latest terrains though.
My soundtrack mods were completelly born from requests, so with you being the second one to request this one for DE too, I'll look into that, probably over the weekend.
For a long time I went into the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition , opened the modifications and waited for your mod to appear in the list, but it was not there. I decided to write to find out what are the plans in this regard? Thanks again
It has the full soundtrack of season 1-4. I might add the other ones at some point too.
But when I have it, porting some of my mods is definitly something I intend to do. Maybe there will even be some sort of option for me to add to my mod manager, so once you are subscribed to a mod of this Version of AoE2, I can just port it over in case it is compatible content wise.
To be honest I'm not a fan of the new microsoft mod manager - mainkl due to my poor test experiences with the UI. So once I have it, I will look into option to bypass it as much as possible. (Automated direct downloads won't work, but making other content available or maybe presenting the official stuf fin another way with dorect access to the links or something like that might work out). But - that's a thing for summer.
Actually I don't remember right now if that is already in the version online, or only in the rewritten one I intend to do final testing on for much to long now (over two years ... :( )
Can't really say when exactly right now though.
(To hear all tracks ingame without the need of doing overly long game sessions, with the next version of my mod manager you will be able to create a randomly shuffled (and/or morged) version of each subscribed soundtrack mod.)
Each dlc has its own main menu file. So if a mod (like this one) does not include the new main menu file, you get the default music again until the mod gets updated.
I already started to update all my mods, but due to rl, the amount of mods and my current rework of my mod manager tool this is a little on hold right now. I hope to be able to update all remaining mods soon though. :)

If you are using AK, you don't have menu music right now, for that one got a new file for AK users that isn't yet covered by this mod. But ingame music should be fine.
I had them seperated by seasons first due to the workshop limitations for mod sizes (like many others too).
Thing is - it clutters my mod list (which still contains over 200+ entries after cleaning) - especially when not uploaded right after another.
It also spreads comments and ratings.
So I'd prefer to not do seperate uploads where not necessary.
I can understand this doesn't help to get the mods content sooner - but 280mb should be manageable - that's similar to various game updates I get all the time... and it's a one time thing. After that you don't have any delay again - unless you resubscribe to it after deleting it.
Making them accessable here as a mod is questionable on itself as I don't own the copyright for them. But it's in a small area and most people don't know how to use them beside steam.
But making them available somewhere else is something completelly different.
Everyone willing to convert those files to fit classic AoE should have no problem with getting the files from youtube or somewhere else instead of an upload I or someone else did before converting those files like one would do with my files.
And I myself won't do that. Sorry.
So it's possible but some work is needed.
I'm asking for I experienced another soundtrack didn't play in the menu anymore, but still did in a match.
This is possibly a patch bug - I know of no file structure changes that could lead to included files intentionally not used anymore.
