I'm having the same problem as Omega13.
If I attempt to save the game after accepting the quest, the game just freezes and crashes.

looks like the issue is with the new rimworld patch changing the way .dds is loaded or something. all my mods with .dds textures stopped loading those textures

Mod stopped loading textures on trade ships since a few days ago, not sure what the problem is exactly or what I can do to fix it on my end if anything.

Also, despite the mod saying that it can be safely removed from a save, doing so locks your save into an endless loop of "Spawning Things..." until you force quit the game.

so here's a weird issue that I've been having, and I'm not sure if this mod is responsible. Whenever I get quests asking for me to trade X amount of a specific item with an orbital ship - if I go to another map with a grav ship first before accepting, the game seems to try to send the ship to the original map that no longer exists. Not only does this make the quest impossible to complete, but when I attempt to save the game after accepting the quest, the game just crashes. The only thing I can do is drop the quest without completing it.

@dallas Dog: There's bound to be a conflict with another mod. I had the same problem, too; the same ship always came with the same items. But it's too stressful for me to find the mod that's causing the problem. This mod could be good, but just removing it is awful.

I'm having a problem and hope someone might have some insight. I only ever get ONE trade ship. It's always the first. After that I can play for years in game and never see another one. If I turn on orbital traders I will see those, but no matter the settings I will never see more than one initial trade ship. Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? Is there a mod conflict anyone else has found?

@Crestfallen Knight: Who's talking about hate here? The mod has simply been made complicated when it comes to removing it. It's normal for mods to have bugs from time to time; that can happen, and it's not a big deal.

While I was parked at an orbit facility, trader ship triggered and decided to land inside my gravship area, crushing the shuttle and depressurizing the hydroponics section. Just what I needed.

If this mod is installed, it seems that there are certain conditions that cause the game to crash the moment the tradership spawns, but since the crash causes no logs to be saved, it is not clear what those certain conditions are.
All that is known is that the issue was resolved only if I didn't rely solely on the vanilla shuttle beacons, but instead used the landing zone settings added by this mod every time I entered a new map, or if I removed this mod.

Also ich rate von diesem Mod ab! Im Spiel hat er mir nicht wirklich viel gebracht weil immer das gleiche Schiff kam, und die gleichen Mats angeboten hatte und was okay sein kann, ABER das schlimmste ist das entfernen des Mod. Man kann den Mod nicht einfach deinstallieren, nein, man muss in die Savegame Datei reingehen und alles manuell raus löschen. Deshalb nicht zu empfehlen.

I've got it in 1.6 and it doesn't seem to create any issue, the only problem I've found is that the compatibility with call a trader seems to be wonky

Unfortunately, it cannot be used in 1.6. Quests do not work, and the game crashes when attempting to save.

One partial solution would be to use a bigger item stack mod. This way, you have fewer, but larger, item stacks, and you fill up that limit less easily. Anyway, good luck with that bug.

Is anyone else having the problem that the Tradeships land whereever they want? I have set up a zone from the mod, where they are supposed to land. It used to work. But after playing for a while something broke or whatever happened Idk, now they land anywhere except that zone.

Hi! Love this mod, but I noticed a problem: When purchasing from the trader ship, items are only generated within a fixed circular radius (around 25x25 tiles?). Once this area is filled, new purchases stop spawning entirely, even if there's free space outside the radius. The only workaround seems to be manually clearing the drop zone — which makes high-volume trading (especially when a colonist has a trade inspiration) difficult to use.

Quest crashes, trying to land trader ship in space on platform with grav anchor and not map with grav ship. I have a debug of the quest if that helps. I don't see a discord.

Sometimes I get trade ships that have the same inventory as visitors. Is that intentional?

It happens with only this mod loaded, so it's not some compatibility issue either.

I got a quest to sell pelt coats from a trader ship. It said that if I accept the quest, the ship would land to retrieve the items but after I accepted the quest, no ship landed and the game crashes whenever I try to save. I'm going to have to skip these quests from now on.

Ship gave me a quest, needing resource. I had it in my base. Could not finish it, because "your caravan does not have xxx resource" but it was in my base beside the landed ship. Forming caravan a does nothing. Any idea? Not even dev mod was of help...

I still wish the beacons did something; they're just empty items now. Maybe increase the frequency of trader ships?

@Loopin Having this issue, except it doesn't work this time, I have a combat supplier ship but when I trade, he stares and doesn't go to it, I re log and same crap. Any help?
