Hello Mlie, I appreciate everything you have doen here. Just a bit of proposition, is it possible that hostile humanoid enemies can use these turrets? Thank you in advance.:steamthumbsup:

The items are broken expensive and easy to make money. Needs a huge nerf.
Like for real, Maxim Machine gun crate, 75x Steel, 3xComponents = 2050$ value on market? It's too OP.

Does the "turrets extended" mod's patches work with this? (The one that makes manned turrets take into account the user's shooting skills)

pretty Sure the M45 quad mount was called the Meat Chopper... not the Meet Chopper. Great mod regardless

Would it be possible to get a version that either doesn't use an ammo system at all or just has to be "refueled" with steel the way vanilla turrets do?

Dose this stop or damage raids from drop pods and shuttles? Are they actually AA guns or just used to fight ground units?

@Lemon Rust Not sure what the issue might be as it works in my tests. Try following the instructions under ”Reporting Issues” above to find out if you have any mod-conflicts

I made a 40mm bofors and the 40mm ammo that goes with it, how come it still tells me there are no unreserved ammo near by?

The mod is too weak, and 20mm gun's armor penetration and damage are too too too ridiculously low,Not even a light machine gun.

Does the reload work well?
I tried to use this mod because the Turret collection or Definitely more cannons mods haven't been updated, but I can't reload all Turrets even if I craft every ammunition.

@LordZile the Phalanax CIWS is a 20mm as it uses the 20mm vulcan as its weapon, 30mm CIWS would be Goalkeeper

Did you guys figure out what was causing she shells to be unavailable for use? I don't use CE or anything of the sort and I'm having the same problem. No errors in the console off the top of my head, so I'm not even sure where to start.

I started a game using Prepare Carefully and Combat Extended with this mod. I have a similar problem to those below, where I am unable to man any guns due to lack of unreserved shells, despite starting with hundreds of most calibers.

@TetSatou Can you provide the hugslib for your setup? That issue is very similar to one I have been getting with the torpedo tubes from Save our ship 2 conflicting with combat extended

@Tet Satou Tested this by buidling the M45 and spawning some 12.7 mm ammo boxes. Attached the turret to power and told my pawns to man it. They took an ammo-box and started shooting.

So I'm having an issue with this mod where the M45 Meet Chopper (meat?) is built, connected to power, and I've created an Ammo Crate, a Shelf, and a Stockpile Zone, all 2 squares from the gun itself, set them to Important, and the pawns deposit both the .50 Caliber crates and the 12.7mm belts in them, but then when I tell a pawn to man the gun, it says there are no unreserved shells near them. I've made sure that the gun and ammo are within the Home zone, the gun is powered, no one is attempting to touch the ammo, the belts and gun are set to Allowed, but my pawns refuse to load the weapon. I built a second M45 at another section of the base just on the off chance the first one was bugged somehow (haven't gotten any error popups though), and the 2nd one has the same issue. I'll be troubleshooting this more tonight, but any insight into what might be causing this would be amazing, because I've got alot of steel wound up in these at this point.

Is there a reason why the CIWS turret has a shorter range than a bow and arrow? RL CIWS has a range of 1600 yards, bow and arrow, 300. I got tribals that just raid my colony and take out these turrets with ease since they stay out of the zone and snipe them with bows. I think they need balanced by increasing the range (about double) but decrease the power a bit so it's not vaporizing a human in 1 shot. Also maybe increasing the mats to build, like 675 steel, 25 component, 200 plasteel, 20 gold, just to add more balance.

@Chicken You could write a patch for it, removing the ammo. Not sure how easy it would be but you could give it a try!

@Rege I assume it would be possible, someone just needs to write the patch for it. My time is pretty limited due to the amount of support-requests I get but the source is available from the GitHub-link in the description so if anyone writes a patch for it, just make a pull request there and Ill add it to the mod.
