I've updated the lite-version of this mod to 1.4 and also added support for "Nature's Pretty Sweet (Continued)": https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3029378326

Works with 1.4?
Yes, Just fine.
Why?
Because it uses the "patch system" to overwrite/remove a few details from the ground tiles.

Updating the mod is rather pointless, unless the new DLC adds new tiles.

Works fine with 1.4

1.4?

Sir. Lord. God Emperor, please. 1.4 my liege.

Thank you so much for this! My garden looks much nicer now :D

Updated to 1.3. I haven't tested this much beyond a quick basic check. If there are any game-breaking problems, I'll try to fix them quickly. Otherwise, I'll probably wait for some of the other mods to update to 1.3 (and any new mods to be requested by you!) before updating this one again. I haven't had a chance to play RimWorld much since before Royalty, so I'm unfamiliar with a lot of the new stuff - So, if I'm missing anything, please feel free to let me know. I just got 1.3 and Ideology so I'll be trying to spend some quality time on the Rim again soon. Enjoy!

@pinbuck - Updated! If you see any more Royalty floor/terrain borders that don't look right, let me know.
Evil Wizard Oct 14, 2020 @ 2:02pm

Now, if you like to support my mod, you can, and thus de-bloat the workshop just a tiny bit by making my own mini-mod pointless, sure, go ahead. (As if i could stop you in the first place...)
Pewter HailStorm Jul 25, 2020 @ 9:33am
Made a separate mini mod that requires this and my own mod, and borrowed your preview image... If you want me to change the preview image, let me know, and I will ^_^

@Copper Boltwire - Updated to include terrains from VGP Garden Tools. Thanks for the suggestion!
Pewter HailStorm Jul 25, 2020 @ 2:14am
Of all mods, i'm surprised you don't cover VGP Garden Tools Reclaim soil, Place Soil, Garden Soil and Plow Soil. Considering the popularity of VGP.

this is so eerie and cool at the same time.

@John and everybody - Update! Check out the new mod, No Edge Fade - Lite . It only affects man-made floor tiles and lets all natural tiles retain their faded borders.

This mod also got a fresh update - it puts floor tiles at a higher priority than all other tiles, which should improve the rendering quality and clean up almost all floor tile borders. Let me know if you run into any problems.
okradonkey  [author] Apr 4, 2020 @ 4:50am
@John - Sorry, I don't think I can. This mod doesn't actually alter rough stone, it alters almost every other terrain. I'm afraid it's a "take it or leave it" mod for now.
Evil Wizard Mar 26, 2020 @ 12:48pm
That's pretty low priority, but glad you care
okradonkey  [author] Mar 26, 2020 @ 11:10am
@pinbuck - Yeah, water has its own edgeType=Water that handles its texture and animation but forces the faded shoreline. If we set it to edgeType=Hard it gets the hard edge but loses texture and animation like before. I think this is as good as it gets without becoming really complicated.

I haven't totally given up though. If I ever figure out how to modify the Unity shaders, I'll definitely push an update.
Evil Wizard Mar 26, 2020 @ 10:30am
water seems to not have the same hard edge as other stuff now, is that the intentional fix?
Evil Wizard Mar 24, 2020 @ 9:10pm
good work dude, this mod is nostalgia
Dutchglorius Mar 24, 2020 @ 3:41pm
oh chill, thanks
okradonkey  [author] Mar 24, 2020 @ 2:08pm
@Dutchglorius - Added terrains from Fertile Fields. Thanks for the request!
Dutchglorius Mar 24, 2020 @ 10:57am
i know it's a different mod related thing but edges keep fading with plowed soil from fertile fields
NobleSirBlack Mar 24, 2020 @ 10:05am
Nice!
Evil Wizard Mar 24, 2020 @ 8:03am
Thx
ubreitfeld Mar 24, 2020 @ 12:49am
Very nice. Now tiles look how they should look. :-)
okradonkey  [author] Mar 23, 2020 @ 3:11pm
@pinbuck - Water display has been fixed.
okradonkey  [author] Mar 21, 2020 @ 1:20pm
Yeah, water definitely looks worse with this mod.
ashhhh2 Mar 20, 2020 @ 9:59am
alright well thanks for trying
okradonkey  [author] Mar 20, 2020 @ 9:03am
Unfortunately, edgeType=fadeRough is a property of the natural terrains, and that fade overrides the edgeType=Hard that floors already have. Therefore, the only way to fix it with XML is to set the fade property of natural terrains to also be Hard (which is basically what this mod does).

Somewhere in the C# code, there must be an innocent little function that could be patched to let the Hard edge type override fadeRough, but I can't seem to find it.
ashhhh2 Mar 20, 2020 @ 8:24am
is it possible to get a version of this that only removes floor fade?
okradonkey  [author] Mar 20, 2020 @ 5:14am
Haha I don't know exactly what was in the old one but hopefully this is a good start.
okradonkey  [author] Mar 19, 2020 @ 3:03pm
Dub's Paint Shop is a great mod but as far as I can tell, it doesn't remove the fade between natural terrain and floor tiles. (Borders between floor tiles are crisp even in vanilla.)
aflamealenor Mar 19, 2020 @ 2:32pm
I use Dub's paint shop to paint terrain, it makes the borders crisp :)
