When do you get the trait?

I've got 800/800 Martial Councillor xp and still haven't got a trait!

@Magnus: Adding or removing mods which adds traits can cause such issues because the way the game works is that upon start-up it loads all the traits and grants them unique ids. Hence the order in which the traits are loaded matters. If you add a mod which adds traits which are now loaded before your previously existing traits or in the middle of them, it will change ids of the traits and hence your saved game will point to different traits. The only solution I can think of to this problem is if you ensure that this mod is now loaded after all of your other mods. Unfortunately, I am not aware if there is a way to do that. Maybe you can download the mod via the "direct download link" and put it in your mods folder and change the filename to have a "z" in the beginning. Maybe that puts this mod after all other mods? If you go this route, don't forget to Unsubscribe from the Steam Workshop version of the mod and first ensure that it doesn't show up in your load order.

@LordMidas: I usually play with this mod, but recently started a new game, and forgot to activate it. I've noticed that enabling the mod mid game tends to scramble the traits from your other mod, [LMM] Religious and Cultural Hatred, ie. turning the Italians culture trait into the Arabic culture trait, turning the Germans culture trait into South Slavic culture trait, etc. As well as adding the Abhors trait, but without any culture/religion attached to it.

Any way I can circumvent this grand scrambling, and enable this wonderful mod mid game, or am I stuck with a game with regular boring councillors?

@sebastianpetrova: Sometimes my mods don't show up while running the Game of Thrones mod. I don't know why.
sebastianpetrova Jun 7, 2020 @ 2:31pm
Does it work with Game of Thrones? I have subscribed but it doesn`t show up in the GoT mod.

@LordMidas Well i'm a french boy myself and i'm pretty good in my own language so if you need help you can count on me ^^
LordMidas™  [author] May 27, 2020 @ 7:18am
@Uthred de Bebbanburg: Thank you for your kind words. I don't have any plan to translate the mod because I don't know those languages. I could use Google Translate but it may be imperfect, which is why I didn't do it :D. If someone is willing to help me translate I will be happy to include the translation in an update.
Asmodée May 27, 2020 @ 1:47am
Do you think you will translate this great mod in other language ? Like french , spanish or german ? (Btw your mod is really cool friend , i love it )

@JigaTron: That is an interesting suggestion but I am not convinced that it should work like that. The base stats that a character has are a representation of that character's ability in that kind of matters. The extra skills that he gains are his new insights that he gains as a councilor. So it doesn't really matter what his original skill level was (as a person). In fact, I believe if a person was already highly skilled in a certain task, he should gain experience faster in the council in that task as he will discover new and more sophisticated techniques about how to get better at that task. This is also why councilors of higher tier rulers gain experience faster - as they are exposed to a much more vibrant and prestigious council which attends to matters of higher complexity.

This mod makes the sycophants I appoint on my council actually learn how to do their jobs. Awesome! (Does make them more dangerous during their sudden but inevitable betrayals, though.)
Harald Hardrada May 13, 2020 @ 3:41pm
Very nice and fair
LordMidas™  [author] May 13, 2020 @ 6:55am
@Harald Hardrada: The XP gained depends on the tier of the liege. Councillors of Emperors gain more XP than councillors of Count etc. The exact numbers are available in the Change Notes. The first level is obtained at 50 XP. So, yes, councillors of Counts will almost never reach max level because it will take more than 100 years but they will reach some smaller levels. Councillors of emperors and kings will reach the max levels in a more reasonable time.
Harald Hardrada May 13, 2020 @ 3:24am
hi NM. It's me again. Why my councillors gain 6 or 12 etc exp? It'll take hundreds of years to level up
LordMidas™  [author] Apr 6, 2020 @ 4:02pm
@lmfao: Yes it should be compatible.
lmfao Apr 6, 2020 @ 2:35pm
Is this compatible with Faster & Better Council Scaling? It affects the effectiveness and speed of councilor actions.
LordMidas™  [author] Apr 4, 2020 @ 4:22pm
@karinafalen2017: Yes it is save-game compatible.

@zlatky: I have added a direct download link in the description of the mod.
zlatky Apr 4, 2020 @ 1:57pm
Hello! Can you plz provide us with a *direct link* for your mod, so we can download it? I'm afraid the workshop does it's...usual weird things again, and the mod won't appear to our mod-lists when we just subscribe to it in here! Thanks in advance for the speedy response on this one! \m/\m/
karinafalen2017 Apr 1, 2020 @ 12:08pm
is it save compatible?
Juke™ Mar 17, 2020 @ 3:02am
cool. thanks! will try it out!
LordMidas™  [author] Mar 17, 2020 @ 12:52am
@Juke, no the timers do not reset. All accumulated experience is saved and will continue once you are appointed to a new council.
Juke™ Mar 16, 2020 @ 5:07pm
Will the timers reset when Im off the council for 1 month? (due to revolt, imprisonment, inheritance etc.)
RepealThe19th Mar 16, 2020 @ 4:54pm
Looks awesome, definitely gonna try it this week
