  • Being a councillor now grants XP in the held councillor job every year based on the tier of the councillor's liege: Count 6.25, Duke 12.5, King 25, Emperor 50.
  • Amassing a certain amount of XP will grant a level-up which will increase the councillor's primary attribute. Every level-up increases the primary attribute by 1.
    • XP requirements: Level 1: 50, Level 2: 100, Level 3: 200, Level 4: 400, Level 5: 800.
  • Being on the council of a King or an Emperor for a certain number of years will earn special traits (does not apply to Tribal or Nomadic governments).
    • Royal Councillor (Tier 1): Serve on a King's council for 5 years.
    • Royal Councillor (Tier 2): Serve on a King's council for 10 years.
    • Royal Councillor (Tier 3): Serve on a King's council for 15 years.
    • Imperial Councillor (Tier 1): Serve on an Emperor's council for 5 years.
    • Imperial Councillor (Tier 2): Serve on an Emperor's council for 10 years.
    • Imperial Councillor (Tier 3): Serve on an Emperor's council for 15 years.
  • Being a councillor for 5 years will increase Diplomacy by 1.
  • Being a councillor for 10 years will further increase Diplomacy by 1 and Intrigue by 1.
  • Council Membership, years served and XP are checked once every year. So it is possible that the years calculated will be off by 1 year depending on when the councillor was appointed. It is for performance optimization and since it is a minor annoyance, I will leave it like this.
