@geowarin Your idea has merit. But like I mentioned above with Synific, if I make the linkweapons too hard to craft and you may as well do the vanilla quests. An additional research item a step above its normal non-link counterparts may be in order though.
Linked weapons being that much powerful than their normal counterpart, you could maybe consider adding a separate research for them? What do you think? Or maybe make them require a very rare object like tech ai core or something.
I'll look into it, but it'll likely be a separate mod as it does not fit the purpose of this current one.
I will add your suggestion to the roadmap.
