Aviation is a must for this mod indeed; thanks for the idea and its implementation as-is though :-)

The "modern" reason to have it is *inflation*: the price of a locomotive sketch in the same roublars one has got at the start might become considerably higher by the time the actual production line can actually get built.

Please try to add planes and helis. I have to load a test save each time I want to plan something to see the years, distances and cargo amounts of planes

Could you do some other blueprint for planes and helicopters?
Whitek3t Feb 11, 2021 @ 5:02am
@Rikenbacker I made one by copying bits of code here but it doesn't work. Airplane blueprints office needs a plane parking area.
Rikenbacker Jan 18, 2021 @ 11:31am
Please, add airplanes blueprints office.
erDinamo Nov 5, 2020 @ 12:22pm
Since they lost their usefulness, you could turn them into buildings to create the blueprints, like a design office. Where the habitates work to create blueprints
Comrade Joe Apr 29, 2020 @ 12:28pm
you never know with the latest crashing stuff..
I tested it tho, seems to cause no trouble.
It's just that I can always find some space for a few extra pencil pushers, to reduce unemployment :P
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 29, 2020 @ 8:21am
No probs :-)
White Rabbit Apr 29, 2020 @ 8:13am
Oh ok thank you :)
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 29, 2020 @ 4:55am
You can't send resources to it. It's just an office to buy blueprints, not to make anything. You'll need a train yard to make trains! Also it doesn't require any staff. These were for buying blueprints before they expired. They no longer expire so they are just purely optional, I've left them as they are as people still wanted to use them
White Rabbit Apr 28, 2020 @ 7:31pm
Hello OTRG how do i send resources to the train bp office there are no road or forklift connection? Also i have 1660 university workers and 168 unemployed but no one will work at the bp office that is right next door to my maxed out 881 residence skyscraper :steamsad:
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 28, 2020 @ 3:41pm
Not that I am aware of Joe. They should be fine but I haven't tested them with workers. I don't see why they should cause any issues though
Comrade Joe Apr 28, 2020 @ 3:35pm
It wouldn't cause any issues if I assigned a non-zero amount of workers to those buildings, right?
Marcvsiulius Apr 28, 2020 @ 4:37am
I've found this very practical for when you still don't have the infraestructure.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 1:17pm
No probs, you're welcome :-)
Kruku Apr 27, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Aight, good to know and thanks.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 12:11pm
1. Not really. There are already some modded docks and things, and some more are being made by other modders.
2. Vehicles aren't my thing really. I like making buildings and functional utilities.
3. I use Blender to make the 3d models. Scripting is fairly straight forward once you get the hang of it.
Here's a guide written by some of the guys on Discord https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2050253358
You can also come join the modders discord where you will get plenty of help and advice https://discord.gg/jgGjr4d
Kruku Apr 27, 2020 @ 10:35am
Also a few questions. Are you planing on to make some buildings related to naval infrastructure? Like docks for instance. Also another, Are you maybe planing to make somewhen some vehicles/trains/ships/Planes if they will add them to next update? Also one more question, Where are you making the mods? Is there anywhere specific programe made by the developers of the where you can make own models, scripts etc.or is it something else? I'm asking cuz im curius and also i've wanted to try something by myself.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 9:50am
Thanks :-)
Kruku Apr 27, 2020 @ 8:20am
Great mod.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 10, 2020 @ 9:10am
You're welcome :-)
O'Bradley Apr 10, 2020 @ 9:09am
Thanks
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 10, 2020 @ 8:59am
Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 784510
or if you mean in game, it's under production line
O'Bradley Apr 10, 2020 @ 8:51am
How do you find the mod folder? I can't find it.
Marcus Aurelius Apr 10, 2020 @ 6:37am
Thanks again. I am not used to play on the test branch, and I stick to the public version. But your mod is still great! Before, some of my favourate vehicles tended to disappear from the game, before I could afford to build a car factory, but with the mod I can buy the blueprints for later. Example: for my CO I always use the the LZ695B bus and the T138 family.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 10, 2020 @ 6:08am
Update is available on the test branch, there may be bugs though so make a back up of your save game if you wish to participate - https://steamcommunity.com/app/784150/discussions/6/1849197902650925235/
Marcus Aurelius Apr 10, 2020 @ 5:58am
Thanks, great mod, very useful! But what about the usefulness after the update? Which update? My game is still on 0.8.0.22, is that correct?
aantono Apr 10, 2020 @ 5:55am
Oh, this is still VERY much useful!!! Thanks for keeping them!!!
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Apr 10, 2020 @ 3:49am
Yes I am aware of the update thanks. I already asked people about changing these but some said they wanted to continue to use them, so they are staying as they are.
TheJaster Apr 9, 2020 @ 3:29pm
As beta update it's not more needed.
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 19, 2020 @ 8:29am
Workers would have nothing to do, but if you want to add some yourself you can do so easily. In the mod folder (2016182202) you will find 3 folders bpo, bpo2, bpo3. In each of those is a file called building, ini, open it with notepad and edit the 4th line down $WORKERS_NEEDED from 0 to whatever number you wish to have in there. You may have to rebuild them for the changes to take effect
O'Bradley Mar 19, 2020 @ 8:23am
Can you make a version that does require employees?
Storpappa Mar 13, 2020 @ 5:22pm
he was asking where to buy blueprint
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 13, 2020 @ 11:50am
I do, yes lol. What that has to do with this mod though, I have no idea!
Storpappa Mar 13, 2020 @ 10:58am
Someone watches Colonel Failure
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 13, 2020 @ 5:10am
Thanks. I won't mess around with the bbox, I let the model determine the size of the footprint and leave it at that. It can have undesired consequences otherwise. Clipping being to most obvious
Vimes Mar 13, 2020 @ 1:19am
Excellent that is great what you have been able to do.
Thanks for sharing.

Do you have any control on the size of the footprint and building restrictions that any building imposes..?
boksiora Mar 12, 2020 @ 12:44pm
great mod!! thank you for making it :)
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 12, 2020 @ 12:10pm
Train and boat offices added :-)
dayzru Mar 11, 2020 @ 5:53am
Thanks! Quite useful.
Sunshine Mar 10, 2020 @ 4:40pm
Nice!
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 10, 2020 @ 4:16pm
Yes, train and ship offices coming really soon. I've been a bit busy last few days and haven't had chance to do them yet
Sunshine Mar 10, 2020 @ 2:56pm
Will you add ships in the future?
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 8, 2020 @ 2:05pm
No that's not possible sorry. You can use a cheat code to do it though, press C H and E together to enter cheat mode and then Ctrl and L, this will make all vehicles available
aHamSandwich Mar 8, 2020 @ 1:49pm
This is amazing and should really help new players. Is it possible to expand this to allow for some sort of "archives" so that I can buy blueprints that have expired? The mod community for this game is great and I really want to use some of the excellent vehicles and ship mods people have made, but I'm well past the date ranges for most of them.
Sunshine Mar 8, 2020 @ 12:20pm
@OffTheRailsGaming Yes I missed it, thanks man, great mod!
Sgt. Panther Mar 8, 2020 @ 12:13pm
I needed this like a month ago, fuck :lunar2020stubbornhorse:

Back then I wasn't really clear on how that blueprint thing works (not that the game will tell you that you can produce vehicles after you can't purchase them anymore thus making them really useful) so now I can't build all those fun colourful american cars... Well at least it's comforting to definitively know that all the other blueprints won't expire either, thanks for clarifying what the game didn't for me :)
OffTheRailsGaming  [author] Mar 8, 2020 @ 11:53am
You must have missed my earlier answer. Once purchased the blueprints don't expire, meaning you can carry on building the vehicles for as long as you want.
Sunshine Mar 8, 2020 @ 11:48am
That wasn't my question though. Let's say I acquire a blueprint for a 1970 vehicle that (the vehicle) expires in 1980... will I be able to still build(<!) the vehicle in 1990 because I did at some point unlock the blueprint, or is the ability to build stuff taken away, like it is with buying them?
