@Jath Mods are suggestions for increasing the cap. I have no preference myself. The only thing this mod does is to increase the theoretical limit.

So in regards to this with the "Fixing carry capacity", which mod for that should technically be used? All of them, or only one? It's not specifically mentioned in the piece above but I used to have Bulk Capacity, which didn't seem to do a Whole lot from what I could tell. I'm going to try the Dynamic one, but was just curious in general.

i don't think this mod works, or I'm doing something wrong
Do i need the "fixing carry capacity" mod?

I tested the backpack with the "RPG Style Inventory Revamped" mod. It created another layer call "waist outer", had pawn carry the backpack and shield belt same time. I did however noticed it doesn't show the carry capacity bar going up when i equipped it. Every pawn show 35 kg carry capacity, including my slaves with no legs, lungs, fingers, etc. i uninstalled the RPG mod and the same happened.

i had an idea last night as my crafter made a legendary backpack.. would it be possible to have the quality of the item increase carry weight and reduce move speed reduction? as of right now quality does nothing but make it expensive.

I'd like to let you know that backpacks make a lot of money via traders, you might wanna nerf that. Though dunno if that's up to you or not, I started the game not long ago.

@TwistedPain The should be under Apparel, at least when tested with no other mods loaded. You may have a mod-conflict

@3am Coffee You need to add some mod that removes the hard-cap on carry capacity. Ive linked a few in the description but there are some more I think.

im having the same problem as @turnkey87 ,i got my pawns wearing backpacks but the mass carried stat didnt change, and as far as i know im not using any mods that tweak carrying capacity

My pawn had 35 capacity. made him wear backpack. Still showing 35 in the gear tab

@Reapinseira Looked into the layering and it occupies the outmost layer, as does the powerarmor. So I assume it shows from the side since from behind its covered by the armor-gfx.
I found no way of setting draw-order without adding some C# code for it.

Pawn wearing armor/duster/parka/flakjacket and go to upside(north textrue), backpack is disappear.
And go to side(east or west), backpack is covered by that apparel so hard to look

I think backpack's layer is under than outer apparel.
Is it possible to change backpack's layer become highest?

Whats the tech lvl of these?
I find that i cannot create them and when loading saves after folks spawn in with them theyre removed.

I play using a combo of VFE: Medeival and Rimhammer to limit tech
