Bless you ... finally something to keep my base with lone baby sitter ... yeah BABY sitter and babies while continuous raids of manhunters arrive >_> my concrete mg bunkers ignore animals it seems :noshurt: finally old lady wont have to pick up SMG to fight off wolfs and wargs ever again !!! :nosangry::steammocking:

Performance hit whenever this mode is toggled, but seems to be fine when it's off. Kinda a non-issue but just wanted to mention it.

Please update this so it can hunt wild men. Other mods that allow farming of wild men would benefit from allowing them to hunt wild men

Here we go! I was trying to find a mod that allowed colonists and turrets to engage any predators hunting my baby animals, this'll work! Just gotta tag the hunting pred to BE hunted, and once it's in range of my turrets...

One glaring issue: mechanoid turrets can be ordered to auto-hunt too, with predictable results.

I tend to use this less for hunting and more for the non hostile mode animals that like to just stroll through my base as my numerous turrets dont care because its not attacking. Sure, just let that giant spider through my halls to build a horrifying nest in my reactor room while Im not looking...

my modpack had about 200 mods and it did have Save our ship 2 and simple turrets in it. maybe this isnt fully compatible with modded turrets or its just not optimized at all. (used runtimeGC, and rocketman)

Cool mod but this was the sole reason why i kept getting under 30 fps 24/7. spent hours optimizing my modpack and i found that this mod (when you have a lot of turrets) lags the hell out of your game

This mod uses a lot of CPU time and I had to disable it on my playthrough due to having a large map on my colony and using Save Our Ship 2. The mod functionality is excellent and I really like it, but it's just too slow for me. It would be better if there was an option to only check for targets once in awhile instead of as frequently as it does

Update: Tried it in MultiPlayer, we were not seeing the change in live when pressing buttons like "Auto Hunt" and stuff, so i modified every turret and we tried while he couldnt see turret on "Auto Hunt" but i did. Unpaused, and it de-synced instantly, so...

tldr; IT IS A SOLO MODE ONLY.

for anyone asking, this mod does seem to work with modded turrets from my experience.
I'm using it with sniper and shredder turrets from simple turrets mod.

Love the mod, especially setting mortars to turret hunt. Question though: is there a way to get animals killed by turrets to not be forbidden by default? Without extending the home area to the entire map, and without setting every animal to be hunted, that is.

One odd thing is you can set enemy mech turrets to hunt (haven't tested with enemy mini turrets but still dont think you should be able to have enemy turrets hunt for you lol

This is a fantastic mod in terms of what it does, it exactly solves my problem of having animals hunting my villagers marching past my turret line. But it causes significant slowdown in my game sadly. Would it be possible for it to have a configuration for reduced performance impact by having them check for animals to shoot less often?

@BaalEvan what happened to @Zyke happens to me on every game load. If I have hunting enabled, each time I load the game, the safety features are disabled.

Turret Hunt works fine, it's just Forced Target that doesn't seem to work.

@Zyke maybe you built this turret earlier and reinstalled it in new position? I checked and Turret hunt store info about mode even if you reinstall turret so it's possible to install turret with Turret Hunt active and designated only inactive mode

So i tested this 3 mods

with All Turrets Can Set Forced Target and Turret Hunt: https://imgur.com/a/5mSo02c

Everything looks fine on my end i can set forced target for all turrets, also all turrets are capable to use Turret Hunt.

Some turrets like Catapult or Balista ofc require to be manned but when manned they hunt correctly

@Zyke i didn't saw this reverse designeted problem but i will check it without rest of mods to be sure
