Some as Ravayen. Ideology related VE Framework errors. Resorting Columns to after Framework fixed it.

Update makes this throw an ideology error with "vanilla expanded framework" now but it's easily fixed by moving it lower in rimsort should prob put a load after instruction in about.txt or something.

- The Light, Crystal, Sacred, and Archo Columns now meet the column requirements for Royalty and Ideology rooms. Thanks to @氟氯溴碘砹 for providing the code.

- The size of the Archo Column has been changed, and can be moved.

@NEPH Worked out what my issue was! I was using another mod to give grenades and launchers a minimum distance. Which ended up including the pillars, and therefore their range and minimum range were the same, so never were able to fire.

No errors because thing were working as 'intended'

다름이 아니라 버그가 하나 있어 제보드립니다.
초월 기둥을 공중부양선에 설치하였을시, 공중부양선이 다른 맵으로 이동하면 작동을 하지 않게 됩니다. 이 경우 세이브하고 즉시 다시 로드하면 작동 하긴 합니다만, 버그로 보여 제보 드렸습니다.

not sure if this would be called a bug, but the columns don't count toward the needs for a room for Ideo rooms ( a room were the Ideo statues or symbols )

Hey. Any chance you could make an Archaen Column that could be planted underground, support terrain and form a nice pretty tree wrapped around a column?

Since the Sun Column itself has a bigger radius than the vanilla Sun Lamp, I find myself not using it much, but maybe if you had the Archaen tree wrapped around a regular Sun Column it could block some of the light, thus reducing it to a normal sized sun lamp radius? While also being pretty, generating heat and also spreading fertile soil around it.

Maybe even reduced power or even free? Could make up some stuff about how the terraforming of soil was redirected into the column where it supports a colony of algae that produces all of the energy needed for the sun lamp to function. I dunno.

Anyway just a random idea I had. It'd be nice to be happy to get seeds as loot, lol. Thanks again for such a great mod :steamthumbsup:

Regarding the crystal columns not counting for throne romms.
I understand it for the normal ones, but the cystal ones should count.
They look really nice and way more naturla than a ton of normal colums that you just put there to satisfy the requirements

@NEPH nothing red in the logs, they just sit there and get attacked. Probably some sort of mod conflict but I'm not sure what.

I have 6 Crystal Columns built in my throne room, but it seems that they do not count towards the requirement for my Knight Ceremony. It says I need 2 columns and I have 0/2.

잘 사용하고 있습니다. 사용 도중 문제가 생겨서 글 남깁니다. 문제는 플레이 중간에 다용도 벽 패드만 사라졌습니다. 정확히는 설치했던 것들은 남아있는데, 건설 할 때는 패드들이 보이지 않습니다. 기둥들은 건설 카테고리에 보이고 설치도 가능하고요. 모드 순서도 바꿔보고 전에 셉파로도 다시 돌려봤는데, 여전히 패드만 건설 카테고리에서 보이지가 않더라고요. 혹시 모드 오류인지, 해결 방법이 있는지 여쭈어 봅니다.

When fully charged, the defense column has the same threat level as a regular turret, but when empty, it only poses the minimal threat level. In this state, if it spots your pawn, the enemy will stop attacking and rush toward your pawn.

Is there any way to make it so enemies don't attack the defense collumns? It either makes them just delay ranged pawns while they focus the collumns from range, or softlock enemies that can't do damage to them (the scorcher has enough range to not be targeted by the stun pulse column, and it also can't damage it, so it gets "stuck" while I just shoot them to death).

Sorry if this has been asked before, couldn't find an answer online.

Thanks - you're awesome. Any chance of getting a wall pad power switch? My early ships used a lot of switches to balance power usage and they're even uglier than the heaters. Thanks again for the heater fix!

Figured out my issue - seems like the pads don't work if the room temp is too low to begin with. Having the rooms 170F below the target seems to be the issue. Added some normal heaters to nearby rooms and the heater pad kicked on and got the room up to temp.

For some reason, I can't get the heat pads to work. Rebuilding my Gravship at an asteroid base. Rooms are -103F but the heat pads don't leave low-power mode, even set to 70F. I put a couple in a small room just to be sure. Room is 100% enclosed and roofed with oxygen added.

Any ideas?

I would adore an EMP column. With the killbox changes, and mechs constantly on my base, it's really difficult to come up with a safe way to deal with the centipede army stopping and just firing down a line unimpeded. With an EMP column and a colonist behind it to re-arm, you could actually possibly make mechs killable again with proper setup.

Am I crazy or did it used to just be a construction material you needed to build the column, but now you deploy it from a backpack slot as a utility item? That's neat, what was the reasoning behind the change?

Thanks for this mod, by the way. Been using it for years now, it's borderline essential / mandatory for me now :steamthumbsup:

The Archo Column cannot be directly constructed and is an extremely rare item. I’ve been playing for 13 years in one run, and I haven’t obtained it even once. You can think of it as an Easter egg.

This is cool. I was about to add them but saw the archo one repairing gear. One of the challenges in Rimworld is making new gear to replace tattered ones, so you have a constant resource demand and sink. That kind of eliminates that entirely with one column. Still, awesome work!

Does the Archo-Column repair clothes stored on an armour stand? If not, is that a possibility in the future? Would be pretty cool to just swap out fully repaired outfits in one go, replacing them with tatty ones that get repaired slowly over time. Like a tailor shop!

The frozen column couldn’t adjust temperature in versions from a few years ago, but it has now been updated to allow temperature control.

The sun column cannot have a temperature control function added. The sun lamp’s unique auto on/off system conflicts with the heater’s temperature control system. Creating an entirely new comp could solve this, but since it works well enough as is, I don’t feel the need to do so.

A patch for Dubs Bad Hygiene is beyond my capabilities and doesn’t align with my vision. I’m just makes lightweight vanilla friendly mods.

I also noticed a 'bug' on the new sun pad: The growing zone is also applied on the outside, even though the sun lamp should not be able to reach that side. Is there perhaps a possibility to only detect the contiguous growing zone closest to the actual pad?

Thanks a lot for your great mod, I really enjoy the new wall pads. One of my must-have mods on every run!

I also have some questions/suggestions:
Is there a reason one cannot set the target temperature on some items (sun, freezer)? This is possible for regular heaters/coolers.

Would it be possible to create patches for Dubs Bad Hygiene? I'd like to be able to connect the corresponding columns/pads to the plumbing system. It might make also sense to create a patch for Vanilla Temperature Expanded, and allowing people via mod options to choose how they want to connect the internal heaters/coolers. Please note, if you consider doing this, there is an edge case where you can enable Dubs Centrals Heating alongside Bad Hygiene to seperate plumbing and heating pipes.

- 4 types of wall pad items have been added. Although these are not "columns," my mod was created from the start with the purpose of effectively utilizing space, so these items also align with that goal.
