LNBalestra Nov 29, 2021 @ 5:50pm
1.3 pls
Crazybmanp  [author] Aug 3, 2021 @ 5:25pm
i've been looking into updating this for 1.3 but it looks like a bunch of the underlying logic has changed. i should be able to look into it more this weekend.
CatHairs Aug 3, 2021 @ 12:08am
any chance on update to 1.3?
Draqvaus Jul 4, 2020 @ 8:51pm
Thanks for the update man
Crazybmanp  [author] Jul 4, 2020 @ 12:04am
new update released, this corrects the errors related to colonists trying to sleep in beds that are in real ruins ruins. i can't seem to replicate errors with vanilla furniture expanded.
ЯEБAЛ Apr 30, 2020 @ 10:53am
Awesome concept, but mod seems to not work very well with modded beds - for example Tank beds, and yesterday colonist got stuck in the loop of assigning with 'vanilla furniture expanded' bed, or moreBedsCloth. also had some weird stuff with prison labor. very sad that i cant use it with other mods right now:steamsad:
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 19, 2020 @ 6:39pm
Development update: development has been slow as i have gotten sick.
Draqvaus Mar 10, 2020 @ 12:32pm
Oh sweet theres a slider to choose how many days they can lease for, nice
Draqvaus Mar 10, 2020 @ 12:23pm
Thanks man cant wait for the rest of the stages
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 10, 2020 @ 12:11pm
by default it will start reassigning everyone's rooms. but if someone is assigned to a bed that has had the rentable toggle turned off, they will never get reassigned.
Draqvaus Mar 10, 2020 @ 10:35am
This wont make my royals lose their room i force them to will it?
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 9, 2020 @ 12:45am
Pushed a bugfix fixing barracks that also contain medical beds, i don't know why i didn't think of this.
peanut just peanut nothing more. Mar 7, 2020 @ 12:25pm
i absolutely love the idea of rimworld being a little more capitalist, i always was kind of frustrated pawns couldn't have their own little possessions like the dwarves in dwarf fortress (which i assume is part of this mod's overall goal)
Headshotkill Mar 7, 2020 @ 2:47am
Time to have a small group of ultra elite rich living in palaces while the plebs sleep in the slums.
Morale -10 Mar 6, 2020 @ 2:47pm
Funny
but have a offset expansion that have them share around their fellow communist girlfriends would there not be enough to go around xD
keylocke Mar 6, 2020 @ 10:45am
capitalism, ho!
Jeffsikles Mar 4, 2020 @ 8:29pm
Very interesting concept for a mod, it doesn't do much now but I like the idea. Maybe once you implement the wage system you could have pawns buy things for their room instead of changing rooms? Is it possible to have pawns you control issue quests? Maybe they could issue a quest to give them a [good+] Small Statue and the reward would be whatever portion of their wages they're willing to pay with a moodlet to match? I assume wages will be based on skill x time spent doing job? Or would it take into account value of job done? So a lvl 20 stonecutter would make more than the lvl 6 guy rolling smokeleaf joints? I'm just really curios about the direction of this mod
NECEROS Mar 4, 2020 @ 7:53pm
:D
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 4, 2020 @ 7:49pm
Pushed out another small feature update with Neceros's Feature request (may need a little further work)
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 4, 2020 @ 7:08pm
@Neceros So once in capitalism mode its counted as a lease, but you make a good point in vanilla mode. i will add this as a feature request, shouldn't be too hard.
NECEROS Mar 4, 2020 @ 7:05pm
Is it possible to not have them change beds automatically? That part seems a little strange, only because normally humans get really attached to their area/room. It becomes personal, so being forced to just pick up and move seems weird.

This is wonderful! Thank you.
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 4, 2020 @ 6:53pm
New update now out, fixed some bugs and odd behavior related to relationships and outdoor beds. You can check the patchnotes in the change log here on steam.
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 3, 2020 @ 12:17pm
Currently the connection is only a joke, but the plan is that once i stabilize this mod, this provides a nice base for my other updates which will hope to bring us proper capitalism.

Right now this mod is a change to the vanilla bed selection system. The connection is that this provides a solid hook for stage two, where i will have pawns getting paid for work and buying beds. You can see my current roadmap in the github link i made under projects.
Garry's man Mar 3, 2020 @ 6:07am
And where is the connection of this mod with capitalism?
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 1:56pm
Pushed an update to allow you to enable more advanced logging, which will be useful for debugging, it also patched a small bug that was reported regarding double beds and lovers. (that appears to be a particularly troublesome edge case, that i have a few more fixes for.)
Mistletoe The Bard Mar 2, 2020 @ 10:12am
This makes the game lively.
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:39am
i may consider using nobility to prompt the capitalism system, but if i do that it will be an option and it will detect if you have royalty because i don't want to not include users that don't buy royalty.
Derp & Junk Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:36am
Having your nobility be the prompt for the capitalism system to "start" might be kind of cool too
Derp & Junk Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:33am
I would say there are benefits to using currency, it lets you make use of other materials for trade in a way which the present barter system does not. Steel, silver, gold, plasteel, hyperweave, that rank order, these materials can be used to make coin but then if needed that coin can be converted back, except for the hyperweave banknotes but those can't be forged and are mostly used by nobles paying nobles, only your nobles are allowed to make currency, it can still be counterfeit but usually only as a low wealth induced psychotic break and carries a chance of being caught each time used, though any fake currency which gets collected on tax day or transacted with nobles will be found out by default and an investigation launched to find the culprit
Derp & Junk Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:31am
How about a tiers and levels system, in keeping with the new royalty stuff

Peasant class, labor mining and farms, may be employed by your nobles for low end tasks they wish to avoid, generally employed by Commerce class shop keepers to gather and process materials and tidy up any loose ends, Commerce class makes the goods and runs the shops, Security class handles petty crime within the stores, also psychotic break fights and base protection, higher pay for higher danger, then a ranked nobility system
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:16am
Known bug: Colonists no longer consider using beds that are outdoors. This is a known issue and i will try to get a patch for this behavior in a bugfix
valrossenOliver Mar 1, 2020 @ 11:54pm
Ya boi mr debugger is here. :P
While not too much into the economy aspect I really like the idea with this bed system.
Will follow the rest of the stage developments and see if there's more interesting parts I'll like!
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 1, 2020 @ 10:43pm
right now i'm considering if there is anything to gain with a minted currency. i think silver and gold will be used, but i'm open to considerations.
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 1, 2020 @ 9:37pm
so right now the only feature implemented is a change to the vanilla assignment. i will now be working on the full capitalism experience.
HeavyBurner Mar 1, 2020 @ 9:31pm
I have been wanting a mod like this for awhile! I am going to try this out, but it could conflict with hospitality as you can set prices on beds for guests. Could I recommend silver and gold as currency? OR silver and gold can be crafted into coins???
Crazybmanp  [author] Mar 1, 2020 @ 6:44pm
Plans are to implement pretty much all of those types of features. I hope to be able to make a fully capitalist society where your pawns get paid and use that money to rent property, potentially buy food, and potentially pay for medical care along with other options i'm considering.

I am a very new modder so i will not be able to guarantee this all, but it is my plan and hope.
HeavyBurner Mar 1, 2020 @ 6:17pm
Is this the beggining of an economy that your pawns participate in your colony? Pawns earn silver by being paid through your reserves? use silver to rent or buy food or to buy drugs? pay dictates happiness?
