Thank you for creating such a great mod. I play mainly single player and this is literal endless entertainment. Is it possible if you can make a version for Sefrou-Ramal? I really want to play some African operations this way, thanks again!

FACTIONS UPDATES YEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!

Didnt know that was a thing, just saw it in the comments. I'm excited for that, was going to reach out to see if you could make a version of this mission on Sefrou-Ramal - doing missions in northern africa would be sick.

I absolutely love this mission set man, absolutely the greatest thing to exist for quick missions. Also any chance to add the option to select a specific area desired for the mission? I sometimes use this mission as a foundation for zeus ops with my group, but sometimes the available locations arent ideal for the desired/envisioned mission. If thats at all a possibility it would be a pretty nice addition for FF2.

@SunnyJim I've witnessed AIs getting stuck more than before too, maybe some recent patch. I've ended up implementing a reset script for an upcoming update. It deletes the AI and spawns an identical unit. A crude cure to the problem but it works.

A nice scenario which I had some good fun with, BUT... group squad members bug out (refusing to take any orders), which appears unfix-able (restarting the game, shooting them then dragging them before reviving, etc doesn't fix it). So eventually this led me to give it up. Pity.

Any chance you could possible add in support or into the pool for CDLC factions and content? Like Reaction Forces, Western Sahara, and the new Expeditionary Forces?

Stuff like RF's helicopter and pickups, WS's factions and gear, and the Marines from EF would be awesome to play with. :jake::steamthumbsup:

@eQynoxx Try the AdditionalBoatSectorPosArray array in the WorldLibrary file. Add gamelogic objects on the rivers and add their names on the array. If I remember correctly those serve as valid support vessel spawn positions.

But all this is to ask you for some pointers in something I'm trying to do. So basically, in the UMB_Columbia map, there are a lot of winding rivers that reach all over the map, and in the northern most part of the map there is open ocean, I put the player faction main base in the southern part of the map at an airfield, away from the ocean. What I want to do is make it to where when the player selects "sea insertion", in the mission planning screen, to have it place the player's boat spawn in the river if it is closer to the insertion point than the ocean is. Could you kindly give me some pointers on where to look in the files to make this happen? If it is possible.

@KingN I have about 2k hours in Arma and I have to say that TFF2 is the most enjoyment I've gotten out of this game ever. I've played basically all the versions you've released so I figured I would try my hand at playing around with the configs to insert different factions into the scenario.

First I inserted the Chinese PLA into the tanoa map and that was a great time. After I played through that campaign, I figured I would try to port the scenario to another map which I have been successful in doing. So I ported it to UMB_Columbia and created a PMC vs Cartel type of mission, and it plays really well. But I don't have any intention of posting the scenario on the workshop or anything cuz it has a lot of weird dependencies on mods that only my friends and I use.

@Tarlak501 Thanks. No plans for other versions atm. And the problem with ww2 that comes to mind is no helicopters and the four supporting helis in this mission is a "hard-coded" feature.

:steamthumbsup:I’ll try to collect the most progressive wishes of fans of this best mission for further development:
1. Add the ability to select the player's side (Red, blue, green) and select the enemy's side. This will combine many missions into one with a wide selection.
2. Add Teamswitch for single player. Keep all equipment and weapons assigned to all operators personally from mission to mission (in a campaign) with the possibility of transferring to a general warehouse. (sometimes it’s a pity to lose cool loot obtained from the enemy, especially that the player’s side does not have). Add the ability to combine 2 groups into one for easier micromanagement.
3. Do not add!!! stubborn opportunities fashionable in the community that will violate the uniqueness of this mission and realism. Such as an endless arsenal of changes to AI and gameplay mechanics. If anyone needs it, let them experiment at their own peril and risk.

Will you be making more vanilla factions versions on mod maps like Ruha/Roshen etc or the development is finished? I would love to be able to play as LDF with in this campaign.

@Worldfilip Hmm #missions have worked for me. But anyway, "joining mission" means that the mission didn't restart but continues an older session

I have issue when hosted from a dedicated server, singelplayer and hosted local works fine.
Similar to Franz Makamele, stuck on joining mission #Restart and #Missions just put the server back in the same Joining mission state

Whenever I try and get the artillery to fire it goes through the mission but then just doesn't fire and then I can't call on that system again.
