@Dragon32 , I think it fixed the Skirmisher cohort doing the wrath/justic animation, but it still freezes. Either way though, I consider it an improvement!

@Dragon32 , I always feel bad seeing you answer questions that are super obvious, and now that feeling is turning inwards a little bit because I never thought to search up on the Workshop a mod that fixes animation issues. Thank you so much as always Dragon, you and many others are what gives us plebs a chance to play in a realm that would be otherwise unattainable. I'll give it a sub and will report back if it works!~

I see in the comments that other issues may crop up (e.g. Denmother which is a mod i have, but to be honest, I'll take this fix over that slight issue) .

Also reporting the wrath/justice animation bug where it fires but we don't see the animation, but also it's worse for Cohorts because they just T-Pose

I know its been a bit but anyone know if you can fix the wrath/justice animation?
Also is there a way to make them able to be trained from rookie?

Might be worth it to add a GTS perk to give them a free move only action every few turns so they are encouraged to push forwards, especially with the bull pups being worse shotguns

The Remote Start ability given by this mod is called WOTC_APA_RemoteStart so that would have to be added to the Purifier Remote Start mod. No idea if that's exposed to config editing or would need the SDK.

My skirmisher starts the mission taking bleeding damage for 2 turns. Any idea what am I dealing with here?

When you choose Heavy Hardpoints does the wrist-mounted heavy weapon always awkwardly intersect with the grappling hook? I could use XSkin to reskin the weapon but if anything I'd like to make the grappling hook invisible if I could.

Ah, I see, the description line breaks are causing the text to get pushed down. The classname (Skirmisher Cohort) is longer than the original, so my manual line breaks are pushed down to the NEXT line, pushing the Level 3 text off the page.

It should be just a text issue. I'll get a fix up shortly. Thanks!

In practice I don't know if it works, I'm still preparing a new game with mods like yours and CI so I didn't advance enough to test, but at least in the UI there is no Level 3 ONLY for the Cohort, Agents and acolytes have it.

The level 1 and 2 work, but not level 3? Not heard that before - Thanks, I'll look to see if I notice anything that could be the cause.

My Skirmisher Cohorts don't have the Heatsink's Focus mechanic: Level III.
Is this intentional? or it could be a bug or UI problem

Awesome mod, been playing with this for at least 20hrs. Only thing though, the skirmisher cohorts and their (unintended) t-posing kills me every time they use justice.

I am having the same issue as tadleszcz. The skirmisher animations are fine, but the trained cohorts are t-posing when using justice and wrath. Also, I just wanted to say your mods are fantastic.

@shiremct is there any way to integrate an option to have an additional GTS upgrade to give the skirmisher a free move action, similar to the GTS upgrade from the other skirmisher class pack? I love your take on the skirmisher but i find myself wasting actions on moving rather than shooting/using the ripjack. It would also make wrath usable early on, because we would be able to take cover instead of sitting in the open once you go in

At the moment, I'm afraid there is not. I'll have to check if I tried adding animation sets to their abilities, but even the regular skirmisher has problems with visualizing these abilities sometimes.

I have a small problem with my skirmisher cohort soldier, with all the grapple or ripjack animations not working properly (for example, when I activate judge, my soldier just stands in a mighty T-pose for a couple of seconds). Is there a fix for that?

Thanks @BossAnubis69! I see in the Skirmisher one that there is a comment about removing the ";", but I actually don't see any semicolons aside from things that are obviously comments, so which ones am I supposed to remove? I changed the NumInForcedDeck, as I would like them to only be trainable. But IDK if I am supposed to still remove a semicolon from somewhere.

I Just figured it out. You have to find the "Config/XComClassData.ini" that should be located in the proficiency class folder. Once you find it, scroll down to the Templar Acolyte, or Skirmisher Cohort part, you will have to delete the ; in front of the "Recruitable Templar Acolyte" this only allows you to create one via the character pool, if you want to train in the GTS, then change 0 in +NumInForcedDeck=0 to 1. This process is easier if you use the mod launcher because you can change the config in launcher by clicking the mod and going to config tab. You will have to do this for Skirmisher, Templar, and Reaper Proficiency. I have only tested the acolyte, but it's simply a trainable Templar. I had hoped they might have been weaker or something, but they're just as strong as a Templar just by looking at the skill tree. You can mod these values in the config of course, if you have the time, patience, and know how.

I am having the issue mentioned by Mr Penguin (I don't see a response?), that the Cohort doesn't show up in GTS. However I also don't see the Agent or Acolyte either, and I just blew all my money on those upgrades lol.

Use Unit Flag Extended - It's an updated version of Additional Icons that automatically has built-in support for non-Templar Focus Bars.

Or you can fiddle with Additional Icon's offsets, but I recommend switching over.

Will these do anything with this mod installed as well? If not, is it ok to leave them in or should I remove them?

Great mod.

A very strange bug has appeared, and I am not sure what is causing it.

For some reason, my Skirmisher girl is always starting off missions bleeding.

1. Mission starts.
2. She is bleeding.
3. <make moves>
4. Next turn.
5. She takes 1 damage from bleeding.
6. "Skirmisher Girl is no longer bleeding."

This only appears to have started when I took the Superheated Blades and Rip and Tear abilities.

The only thing I can think of is that her ripjack is doing something to her, because the ripjack is the only thing related to her that inflicts bleeding.

I've had an animation issue. When using Wraith, Skirmisher freezes with his arm out for a few seconds as he fires the grapple. Then he remains in position but delivers the melee strike to the target from distance.

I've noted down ADVENT Avenger saying that mod uses a X2AmbientNarrativeCriteria hook, doing that can apparently cause problems with WotC. Try Bladestorm Customization WOTC instead.

How are you respecing the skirmisher? If you are using the base-game console command, that's a known issue. Use my Additional Soldier Console Commands mod to rebuild a soldier's ability tree without breaking the XCOM skills.

Hi. When i try to respec my skirimisher abilities from the "xcom" tier i cant see any ability to switch to, i just tried to change "flush" ability to something else but i just lost the "flush" but gained nothing in its place.

Any idea what could be causing Justice and wrath to not visualize properly? I have a load of other mods and trying to troubleshoot which one is causing it. Where/what do I even check for that when searching mod content folders?
