I'm quite busy, so it'll take a while, especially since I don't have a B41 install.
You are confusing this mod with another.
They are invincible and hidden.
thank you for your work!
I'd like to get it eventually but unsure how much is broken.
Unfortounately, when I set it to 0.01, the car becomes as small as my di- I mean very small, not even visible in game.
I was a bit unclear, I am not making an entierly new car model but editing a base game one. The "Vehicles_CarNormal" one found in models_X/vehicles.
And what's funny is that while debugging this weird export error a few days ago, is that if I just simply import the FBX into Blender, do aboslutely nothing to it and simply export it, it becomes huge in game.
So I really got no clue what I am doing wrong, I tried every method, even asked ChatGPT for help because I was desperate.
I really don't want to bother you with all this and don't want to disrespect your mod's page by talking with you back and forth. So I will add you on steam as a friend, if you wish to further help me, accept it, if you don't want to help me, that's comepletly fine and understandable, just ignore the request.
Once again, thank you for your answer!
There's a few ways to go about it. Major one is exporting FBX for blender set the export scale factor to 0.01. After that you can find tune the scale by applying scaling to your model, or the .txt where the model is loaded into zomboid.
I love your mod, and I’m currently trying to make my own car mod for PZ, just a mini mod for myself. However, I keep running into an issue where my exported car models from Blender appear way too big in-game, even though they look fine in Blender (im using Blender 4.0).
I’ve tried adjusting the scale, applying transforms (Ctrl + A), and even converting the FBX files using Autodesk FBX Converter, both binary and ASCII, but nothing seems to work.
Since your car mod works perfectly, I was wondering if you could share how you export your models from Blender.
Specifically:
What unit system do you use in Blender (Metric, None, etc.)?
What export settings do you use for FBX (scale, apply transforms, etc.)?
Any tips or tricks for getting the scaling and orientation correct in-game?
Thanks so much in advance for any advice you can offer! I’d really appreciate it.
Don't do that.
I've had various thoughts about how to fix that, along with giving this thing some touch ups.
I was wondering, did you end up getting around to testing that engine durability desync issue? Just wondering if I should hold off on using this till that's fixed or if it's an issue that can kinda just be worked around/not a gamebreaker?
It can't push through a massive horde because the game just won't let it. Heavy vehicles just aren't much better at it.
I think I know the solution to the engine durability desyncing. Still haven't had the time to test it.
10/10, would slice my hand on broken glass again
