got it to work, but needs lots of improvements, my recommendation is #1 the strobe light cloud effect yah got goin on need to be slowed down to each cloud partical disapaiting in 1 hour, #2 clouds need to be more terrifying like they are IRL how to do dis make them THICC not to thicc tho, #3 give them more shapes instead of a circle. then you will more and likely decent clouds good vision of a mod but needs more inprovment

Is this mod going anywhere?

like with any mod to unnistall: copy page URL of this mod and paste is somewhere, copy only the number and go to steam folder, then go to steamapps\workshop\content\244850 and search for the number you copied, delete the folder, profit

Hi. Sorry to be vague, but I 'think' this was the mod I installed to take a look at, then removed it. I have unsubscribed to the mod but still see volumetric clouds. Is there a trick I need to know to remove this please? Many thanks in advance. :)

@Einharjar i've found that the cloud height is based on distance from the core of the planet, 60km is a good distance for most maximum sized planets.

I love that idea 🥰🥰🥰🥰 it would make alien planets or high gravity ones super tricky lol

oo make ot so if it detects fire then they explode deadly reentery would become a whole new nightmair

I could already think of a way to add to this or a 2n mod, hydrogen clouds, if a hydrogen thruster is in them they will blow up causing alot of damage and removal of the thrusters but the gas can be harvested by vents or something

Will definitely check this out soon!

1-It's epic to even have this, Thanks!
2-Cannot adjust cloud height. Script responds with an input value and returns the value, such as 1000 meters or 5000 meters, but no matter what the clouds just stop generating. The reset function works to bring them back, though.
3-Cloud particle generation is very fast, making them look flickery. Cloud density is also low which can be addressed with the particle opacity I think.
4-Draygo's noise generator seems legit. I wonder if cloud height with like, 2 or 3 more layers is plausible, using the same noise generation.
5-Clouds are fast as fuck. Like holy shit, in vanilla speed, these suckers are like 80mps or something.
6-Cloud textures disappear when sun is blocked.

YET another thing KEEN should have done and moders beat them to it.

The clouds were inspired by KSP's EVE mod.
Zephandolf 27 stycznia 2020 o 10:24
How well would SE handle volumetric clouds? I know there's a KSP mod that handles this efficiently, but I would worry about lag if the calculations are too heavy.
If you can get it to work, it would make planetary atmospheres much more interesting. :)

Ah, got it. An addition to Weather Effects mod that modifies clouds height, perhaps their density and some other stuff.
