I don't suppose you have a similar change for the new drills and welders? I know it's some work, but it would be really appreciated.

I have just pushed an update to this mod that adds the same changes to both large and small variants of the "Ore Detector Type II" (Apex Survival DLC's Ore Detector)

This doesn't work with the new Ore Detector 2. Still works with the original Ore Detector

For me vanila small ore detector on planets has enaugh range, but large ore detector both on planets and in space has a way too small range, so this mode is perfect for my needs, especially when RNG is hating me and spawning Cobalt on the other side of the universe;). Thank you.

I've deleted all other mods. Limit on small ore detectors still only goes to 50. I've even tried installing a different ore mod, but that did not work either, so I'm thinking is most likely something on my end I'm doing incorrectly. Though you mod is "checked" in the Steam properties" as active.

@rakmac3 Do either of the other mods make changes to the Ore Detectors by any chance? If so, this might be the issue.

If they don't make any changes to Ore Detectors, then if you could on a new save with only this mod enabled; try and make sure that the upper limit on both size Ore Detectors aren't able to get up to 200 for Small and 400 for Large Detectors.

Mod does not seem to be working in my survival mode game. Have unsubscribed/subscribed. Verified your mod is showing in my Steam workshop mods for this game ( Only have 2 mods running currently). Have removed ore detector and reinstalled. Any help would be appreciated.

@Kerngezond The mod increases the maximum distance setting of the Ore Detectors in the control panel from 50 to 200m for small grid Ore Detectors and from 150 to 400m for large grid ones.

It should also revert the scan distance back to the normal max distance should you remove the mod (back to 50 and 150 for small and large grid respectively).

@Sapphire How does this mod function exactly? What happens if one decides to no longer use the mod. Will the settings on the ore detector revert once you remove the mod?

@8vantor8 It shows up for me (and works just fine). Did you check if Steam downloaded workshop items after subscribing? Try unsubscribing and re-subscribing and see if it downloaded the files and still doesn't show up in-game.

Just to confirm: this still works. Good mod, thank you. The other detector mods give you ridiculously large ranges. I still want to search for my ore deposits. The vanilla ranges were just *too* small. The 200/400 is exactly right.

What? Default range is still 50/150... Are there any working mods out there for ore detection?

this mod causes the game to pause( freeze) every few seconds but works fine apart from that so thanks for the mod i just turn it off when not looking for ore.

Can this mod increase the detection range of the bit carried by the character？

I plonked down a Large version on my base, in a Sole Survivor SP game, and it worked, showing me where Iron, Ice and some surprise Uranium was on the asteroid that my starting base is attached to... Then some hours later, it stopped working, the ores were no longer shown in the UI, and turning it off and on again didn't help, nor grinding it down and re-welding it (and changing the range from the default 200 to the max 400).

The settings to the vanilla ore detector are changed, allowing you to increase the range of it to 200 for small grids and 400 for large grids when you get into the control panel.

Does this replace the vanilla ore detector or is this an extra block?
