Hey! I love the truck, but I do have a question. For some reason the thing on #4 broke and I'm not really sure on what it was supposed to be. I'm assuming internal lights, but I'm unsure. Why'd it break? Probably cuz I have a bunch of mods. So, no issue with you.

my designation is basically [area of operations] [propulsion type] [role]

in this case:
T - Terrestrial: land/planetary operation
W - Wheeled
C - Command/Cargo/Utility

the number is basically the model number in a series

combat vehicles are TWA(terrestrial, wheeled, attack/combat), TAF (Terrestrial, Atmospheric, Fighter), SDD (Stellar/Space, Dual-Drive (ie; hydro/ion), Destroyer) and so on.

if the craft can operate on both space and planets, it's designation becomes S/TAF and so on

Thank you. For lore building reasons, what does TWC mean?
Const  [author] Mar 29, 2024 @ 4:19pm
so long as original is linked back, no qualms
Kirssar Mar 29, 2024 @ 1:15pm
Hello, what do you think about significantly modified versions being posted to the workshop?
MooCow Mar 8, 2022 @ 9:32am
is it possible to get one multipurpose version of this beauty ? ( able to craft etc.... )
kind like a mobile base ( but at this size :) )
really love your designs !

Love the update!
Const  [author] Jun 25, 2020 @ 5:58am
updated with small grid doors, and full airtightness!
Rabagast May 25, 2020 @ 2:45pm
Tried the block removal tips for the wheels, but I still can't make them fit.

Awesome build tho!

whoah, when i saw this i was like "NO WAY THIS IS VANILLA"
Harada.Taro Apr 24, 2020 @ 9:47am
Just one piston for the door behind, no rotor. Nevertheless i kicked the door away replaced it by a modded ramp, sealed the interior, shielded it, added cryo chambers added thruster in the back for enough power to climb hills as it is quite heavy.
CozyDaze 🌸 Apr 21, 2020 @ 4:56am
@Sukriz04 It uses a piston for the blast door at the back, that you can see in the 5th picture. Can't remember if there's more pistons and rotors of the top of my head ^-^'
Sukriz04 Apr 20, 2020 @ 7:49am
this ship have rotors or pistons
?
CCC Apr 12, 2020 @ 10:06pm
@Const and our name very similar...too...
CCC Apr 12, 2020 @ 10:03pm
@BadChrisNoHope we can made airtight with vanilla, but it will hard to production in Survival. you could try that 'door = merge block movable on rotor'.:steammocking:
CCC Apr 12, 2020 @ 9:57pm
And more: are you sure we're not clones? Even like the same game, HomeWorld, War thunder, Space Engineer. I guess you've also played Stellaris, Civilization, KSP?:steamhappy:

I can't believe that our works are released at different times, but the cockpit is almost the same! Most importantly, I guarantee you that my work ‘012-A' is 100% self-designed. High synchronization rate! This is the most amazing place!!

Const  [author] Apr 12, 2020 @ 5:30am
can be made airtight easily with a mod, but would require some mergeblock subgrid contraption to do so vanilla
BadChrisNoHope Apr 12, 2020 @ 3:41am
Hi, I'm guessing it's not airtight bc small blocks?

Hi
I'd like to know what scripts are used for the displays. Could you link those?
HUBERT THE ROCK Mar 29, 2020 @ 10:59am
how do make this one in survival
Tutel! Mar 16, 2020 @ 5:20am
Whoa! Is this a small grid? How long did it take to build?

Const  [author] Mar 3, 2020 @ 7:20am
all good mate, no offense taken
Syroth Mar 3, 2020 @ 6:40am
@const so sorry mate I wasnt really directing that at you, more directing it at the folks requesting suspension changes.. and also meaning it in DEFENSE of you. Sorry again if i came across as criticizing or patronizing you. So again, i was basically trying to say to other commentators to stfu and quit bitching because converting wheels / suspension systems is one of the SIMPLEST changes you can make to someone elses work... all these people can easily swap some wheels around instead of pressuring you to do it for them :D
Const  [author] Mar 3, 2020 @ 4:49am
alright, updated the wheel wells. they should spawn wheels in now easily. please notify me if any problem still arises.
Const  [author] Mar 3, 2020 @ 4:12am
i'll have a look at the design later, and remove, or redesign the wheel wells to make it easier to print, been having many other projects

for now, refer to Mr. Wanaskiwin's fix for it
Mr.Wanaskiwin "Navarone" Mar 3, 2020 @ 3:30am
as i recall, where the wheels were are a few slope blocks preventing them from being built.
BeaverCz Mar 2, 2020 @ 6:32pm
not able to place the armor blocks and the wheels. makes it unable for the wheels to be built any way around this?
Const  [author] Mar 1, 2020 @ 7:57am
yes, i am aware of this syroth, i have used various rotor suspensions several times over published, and unpublished works.

this particular vehicle, was not designed to be an offroader capable of scaling mountains, or traversing extremely rough terrain. Also, i wanted to keep hard to build subgrids out of the picture, as i wanted this to be easily projectable in survival. Like i have said before in the comments, this vehicle was made specially for the ME Planet since it has rolling hills, long flats, and not the vanilla earthlike spiky mountains, and uneven terrain in general.

primary reason though, is ease of use and production in survival, as to why i avoided using complex suspensions. but thank you for your feedback
Syroth Mar 1, 2020 @ 7:18am
Basic principle is this. More rotors/wheels = more pivot points = better ability to articulate the suspension in order to keep wheels in contact with the ground at all times. So layer on as many rotors as you feel like
Syroth Mar 1, 2020 @ 7:16am
..you can also stack this. I often have 3 rotors per side of vehicle, and 4 wheels per side. One rotor per side to start, then you hang a bar symmetrically off that first rotor, then add a rotor to each end of that bar... where you then hang another bar off of each of those two rotors. Then those two bars get two ( or more if you want ) wheels each. Steam comments are so brief I cant describe this much but throw this setup on this vehicle and it does a hundred times better.
Syroth Mar 1, 2020 @ 7:12am
A thought on suspension / clearance. You can always raise a vehicle, and redo the wheels. Its the easiest mod u can make. I personally put on a tiered lever system of wheels onto most vehicles. Like putting a bar on a rotor on free-spin ( no resistance or torque applied ) and putting a wheel on each end of the bar so the rotor is in between. You can use these perfectly symmetrically or you can offset the rotor a bit. This is key for offroading anyway, do yourselves a favor and learn this trick to improve any vehicles offroad capabilities
Const  [author] Feb 23, 2020 @ 4:17am
@maxwindude
yes, it's buildable in survival
maxwindude Feb 19, 2020 @ 12:34am
Is this buildable in survival?
Const  [author] Feb 10, 2020 @ 5:57am
@όσ αρχεος
yeah, off-road wasn't what i had in mind when i made this, more of an RV type of thing. also, i never play on the vanilla earthlike anymore. medieval planet is my go to planet since it is 1000% friendlier to rovers

glad you like the rest of it though, thanks!
TheArchean Feb 7, 2020 @ 11:06pm
Two things.
1) The design of this truck and all of it's details are awesome. I love the design, both aesthetically and engineering wise. Props man!
2) This truck has really bad approach and departure angles, making it super easy to get stuck on uneven terrain. I could not even get it up the ramp to my landing pad (it uses ramp blocks). This makes me sad. :(

For me, and I can only speak for myself, as impressive as this rover is, it does not make the cut as an exploration vehicle due to the lack of angles. I love everything about this rover, except that, and I did make sure that the height offset was maxed. It is... Simple fix: redo the front and rear bumpers/fascia to accommodate bet angles for more effective off-road use.

Kraken Jan 23, 2020 @ 6:28am
It so comfortable!:steamhappy:
Const  [author] Jan 21, 2020 @ 8:23am
yeah, sadly.
solution is either to remove several blocks in the wheel compartment to make the wheel spawn, or manually finish the base first, so the wheels properly spawn
