Could you add a slate industry system as i have a north wales map but i can't find anything connected with slate anywhere on the workshop not even a slate brush?

Generally, factories use electricity .I think it's good to build a fuel power plant to supply it with fuel.Or get a coal-fired power plant to supply it with coal. Then supply electricity to other industries

Was für eine scheiß mod :steamthumbsdown::steamfacepalm:

I like the challenge with this.

Great idea but the balance is off. Ex. Stone vs Brick. 85% of fuel goes to Stone, Making for insufficient brick production. Also, too much overall fuel needed, one fuel plant can barely supply 2 industries...

works with industry expended but i quit the game after i for tired to supply with fuel so many industries, to many in my opinion, should not be enabled for all, or to be able separately to turn off the fuel request only, not completely turn off thre request of all inputs

It would very nice if u could choose how many fuel goes to the industrie. Like there 2 at a staion but i only want that the first one get 75% of alll fuel.
Or that u can choose were u can deliever the fuel from the refineries
Snazz Dec 28, 2019 @ 6:13pm
Anyone tested this with Industry Expanded?
Spike Dec 23, 2019 @ 5:55pm
So I started a new game and only had 2 refineries in the entire map. Fair enough. Challenge accepted. ... Fail. Can't even begin to produce, let alone deliver fuel fast enough. Make sure you are able to place refineries or make sure you have enough to do when you start.

Sandboxmode is a important thing when the player play with placeable industrys. I been check this after a lot of trys :(((. Only when you activate this you can delete industrys... The sanboxmode change not the cashflow or other things. Only you have more options to build and delete different things. ;)

Hi, F.

Q1: I haven't looked at sandbox mode yet, so am unfamiliar with it. Sorry.

Q2: yes, the production of the resources can be reduced back down to 1 so that 1 fuel produces 1 grain, and 1 fuel produces 1 stone, etc. But then we run into the problem of doubling the amount of fuel the player needs to produce to get the raw resources. Plus there is fuel demand at all other industries and towns. It would be much too burdensome.

Q3: yes, the input can be changed from fuel to wood, coal, or anything else.

However, I won't be releasing additional versions of the mod because there would be too many variations.

If you want, it is quite easy to adjust the production. You need the industry files (there are 16 of them) located in the "res > construction > industry" folders. At the bottom of each industry file you will find "Input" and "Output" which you can adjust. It might take a few tries to get it perfect. But give it a try. Once you get the hang of it, it is very simple.

I cant seem to find how to add fuel as a requirement in sandbox mode.

Jcaf is theee anyway to be able to restore the outputs back to vanilla but also required the fuel.

Example. Currently its 1 fuel makes 2 grain, or fuel makes 2 stone,

Also is there any way to configure the type of fuel source like that industry mod in tpf1, for example burning wood for fuel?

Thanks, Nartur, for the info. I should give sandbox a try. I didn't know it allows us to configure things. I'll have a look. Thanks!

Thanks, 123.
Nartur Arkano Dec 18, 2019 @ 5:50pm
jcaf, if you're in sandbox (at least, I think, as I've never played without it) you can configure the industry and it will add fuel as the requirement in a saved game. I haven't tested if using the industry works correctly yet, but as far as I've seen so far this is a way to use the mod without starting a new game.

I found the prob, i forget some lines... lol. Running fine now. GREAT MOD!!!!

Hi, Pentasis. Glad you enjoy it. I tried replicating Industry Workers in TF2, but wasn't able to. TF2's industry files are quite different from TF1's files. I have a post on the modding page. I'm hoping someone will give me a tip on how to do it.
jcaf  [author] Dec 18, 2019 @ 3:37am
Hi, MixaSen. Unfortunately, you need to start a new game with the mod enabled. You cannot add the mod to a saved game that was started without the mod.
Pentasis Dec 18, 2019 @ 3:19am
Thanks, love this mod. Will you also port your 'Industry Workers' mod?
MixaSen(Молчун) Dec 18, 2019 @ 2:02am
Новую игру обязательно начинать?
Must I start a new game?(google)
jcaf  [author] Dec 18, 2019 @ 12:57am
Thanks, Bob. It was fun making it.

Hi, laloe. The only thing my mod changes is adding fuel to production. Every other aspect of the game is the same as the vanilla version.

In fact, all the games files are exactly the same as the original files. The only thing that is different is +1 fuel for all production. (In the case of wood, coal and iron, I increased output by 1, so that 1 fuel = 2 wood/or coal/or ore.)

I hope this answers your question.

Looks great, sound interesting. I'll give it a spin.:voteyes:
ezeLaloe Dec 17, 2019 @ 10:43pm
hello because it does not appear to me or is it the same of the game only modified?
jcaf  [author] Dec 17, 2019 @ 10:27pm
Thanks, laloe. It was fun.
jcaf  [author] Dec 17, 2019 @ 10:23pm
Thanks, Oldhip.

Snazz, I'm thinking that you might need more refineries at some point. It would be interesting to find out just what the limit is, and then expand if the need is still high. In this, it is a lot like the real world, I guess, where a nation's development depends on how much energy it has.
ezeLaloe Dec 17, 2019 @ 10:19pm
genial
Oldhip Dec 17, 2019 @ 10:02pm
Hmmm, fuel or Oil, choices, choices :) well done
Snazz Dec 17, 2019 @ 9:55pm
I like it, I wonder though does this mean you need extra fuel industries on the map to supply both towns and other industries?
