Since the latest update this mod has been crashing my game every 10 min or so. I worked it out by removing mods 1 at a time. If it still crashed put it back and and remove the next until it stopped crashing.
I love this mod and don't really want to stop using it. Any chance of an update?
I normally just have the minimap (radar) in the corner of the screen.

Anyway to put at least local part of Universe Map onto a normal dimensions (square) LCD type? It's hard to find any mods using wide screens for that, especially on cockpits etc.

So, after the Fieldwork update the game crashes if you open the main map, the mini map seems to be ok.

Sorry, forgot to re-message after asking that question.

I asked it and after not getting a quick enough response I added it to my world anyway and it worked flawlessly with a bunch of mods.

Yes, I join the comments earlier and dare to ask for at least basic compatibility with Real Solar Systems in upcoming updates - that would be a absolutely gorgeous!

I think these could be surface boulders - in the entity list (in admin tools) they are listed as "asteroids"

On the minimap radar on my HuD, i'm getting some White dots. I'm on Pertam atm so i know they can't be asteroids. Any idea?

Actually, I think that is a mistake - I forgot to remove the nav map from being placed on LCDs. The issue is the resolution of the LCDs are too low for it to look decent so it wasn't worth it.

Best just to use it via the on screen method (/map umap show or set a keybind) :)

I'm having a problem with the nav map. It shows fine in the HUD view but it is just a blank white space on LCD's. The left and right panels show and the text is fine but the actual map is just white.

Ahh, yes those ones move.. Idk about the orbit lines, that would require some tinkering, but certainly updating the planet positions is doable :)

It would be amazing to see compatibility with Real Solar Systems.
Having a live map of where planets are, perhaps with orbit lines shown even for grids, would be absolutely peak.

Having the same issue as Horatio where the universe map is crashing my side of the game but not the server. It is doing the same to everyone else in my server as well. As long as I don't open the universe map I'm fine but that's kind of hard to do seeing as i need to to find planets to far to even see with the naked eye.

@jTurp Hi,reat mod but i notice a little artefact when on character HUD...
The calldraws of backplate and map background happen before the lines and radar plots, so whatever color/alpha you put on them they're drawn over the other and it's visualy hard to see well during day and night, you should draw them first and the other elements after so they're not messed visualy and hard to distingish... i think it should also be the same problem with transparent LCD by the way... :steamhappy:

I've got an issue with the universe map. Every time that i use /map umap show, the game crashes to desktop. I can provide logs. Any thoughts?

Got it changed over to Ctrl+Scroll, works perfectly.

From the structure of the program, it seems that it might be possible to make that changeable in game, or at least a out of game file config.

Would be a nice feature to have, still an amazing mod.

Anyway to make it where the Shift+Scroll doesn't change the Zoom?

Using a Plugin from Plugin Loader, that allows for Shift+Scroll Block Rotating, doing both at the same time is mildly annoying.

Found a rotational offset bug with an LCD, so I did a little testing and found 8 blocks that may need attention.
180 means what’s in front appears behind and -90 means what’s in front appears to the left (counter clockwise rotation). This is a rotational offset not a flip.

Keen does reserve some keys for other things, but I recommend always using a modifier so the map doesn't toggle when you try to do something else with that key

What key are you trying to bind it to? And yes, there is a config in the world storage folder that will list your keybinds.

I´m having a problem trying to set keybinds to show map. It always highlights key 213 and no mater what i do, can´t change it. If i press alt or shif or Ctrl, the pressed keys displays, but i don´t know what the 213 key refers to. Is there any cfg or file i can edit outside the game to set my keybinds?

@sarnath1 - did you try manually loading Text Hud API in your mod list? Sometimes the dependency system fails like that

@sarnath1, don't take this as a "lol try harder" but a "there is hope": to pin it on the DLC/update is probably premature. I had a save running on my...uh, "vintage" PC with ~40 non-blueprint mods and all DLC/updates enabled. While I wasn't using this particular mod at the time, I was using others that require Text HUD API and they were fully functional. Plus, if the root cause of your issue actually isn't the update or DLC, then it means that you're much more likely to be able to do something about it.

Well, I can't get Text HUD API to work, a requirement for this to work, so naturally this doesn't work either. When I go into Global Chat and press F2, nothing happens. All of the other function keys work, just not F2. I am playing the introductory scenario Learning to Survive.

Although I can't really prove it, my main suspect is Warfare 2. It seems that outside of blueprints NO mods for this game work. Too bad to... a map would REALLY help.
