@TimmyNeutron: yes. you can find some guides about training, i tried some of them but didnt find any advantage for me. maybe because my players aren´t long enough in my team to be developed

@peranco Ty for your answer will definitely follow that advice on individual training, team training all get's handled by your staff I suppose then ?

@TimmyNeutron: i do individual training by myself. first i edit the "Rest"-Screen as following. no pitch, half, normal, double, double. then i switch all players to automatic training intensity. now to the "individual"-screen. Here i set all players to train "playing position". i never change that whatever my staff is recommending inside the emails. only thing you can do is to admit the advice on individual focus. and thats all.

Hi, really like that tactic, switched the Midfielders to two central midfielders in support, and also the WB to support. Let's say the Austrian League has a new Aprex Predator. My questions are more aimed to training, do you have a certain training schedule benefitting this tactic the most ?

I will give this tactic a little update. I won the spanish league with Atletico Madrid in season 2. 99 points and 19 goals against/85 goals for. In 80 % of the time used this tactic, and it seems pretty solid defensively. Plenty of goals with set pieces, but would not recommend having the wingbacks on attack.

yeh i recognised this in my own save. think the update was sadly impacting on this. i work on it and see what i can do... maybe solution for you: change the overall mentality to control or so...

Update, ipswich half season done in premier league. 8-3-8, 10th place and 38-32 goals. Not many clean sheets but i have probably the worst defenders by far in the league, have gotten about 50m euros in total transfer budget over 3 seasons. every season is a bit slow starting, because a lot of new players when i got promotet 2 years in a row. Hopefully just have to buy some defenders before the next season and will not be that slow start.

Peranco: Casual and giving the wingbacks a more defensive role, seems to be helping against bigger teams. I nearly got rolled over by Leipzig, but that could simply be a coincidence.

@emil-o: ok, got you. Did you try to change the role of your wing backs? Maybe to change them to full-back? and with the mentality "cautious" instead of "attacking"? sounds like you are running directly into counter attacks. Very important for any tactic in fm20, it seems that the team had to be near full familiar with the tactic.

for me quite a lack of defensive stability

I will try to be a lot more specific then. I find succes with your tactic, i simply could use som advice. I play as Atletico Madrid, and It is going well in the League, but i seem to struggle when playing against Barca and Real. They seem to be able to trap my players, so they lose the ball. They Then punish me for having the wing backs on attack, and using a high defensive line. It happens regardless if i try and use a more defensive tactical approach in the game.

hm...the same way you play your normal games?!
with this tactic you will receive no wonder-tactic. its a solid way to compete in normal competition. but please dont expect any wonders with it. if you are in 6th tier of England and play a game against Barcelona - normally you will loose this game. but hey - its all about competition. on a good day of your team you will beat them.
sorry for this words - and dont get me wrong. i believe in my tactic. i won a lot of games with it. just simple try and you will see.

I am still using this tactic in my kidderminster save - if this is the information you want to have. Got promoted to league two (4th in england) and been placed 12th at the moment. For me it seems working.

Hi Peranco, any idea how its working after the latest update?, a lot of tactics seem to be struggling since the update.

tip to get some money: maybe you try "smart management" and do some friendly league matches in pre-season and choose the biggest clubs you can get. the hight the clubs the better. one league in every of the first three weeks and your finances are save for the season...give it a try.

Yeah, ended in 5th first season, then beating sheffield united after penalties in the semifinals and won the final against stoke, so promotion went from league one - premier league in just two seasons, ipswich does not have any money so its pretty sick. Thanks for the tactic!

Thanks @wolf for your comment. You got promoted and resulted in a 5th place?! Not that bad anyways. I got promoted with kidderminster and ended 8th in the following season. Seems important that the players get familiar with the tactic.

Used like 20 games in the season before the tactic was giving me results, 5 win, 13 draw and 3 losses first 20 games with ipswich in championship after promotion from league 1. Finishied with 20-17-9 and a 5th place. So my tip is to be patient, and it will give results.
