With only this mod, Core and Harmony active in 1.5, the game throws an error on loading: "Error in static constructor of MAFA.AutoPatcher: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'MAFA.AutoPatcher' threw an exception. ---> System.MissingMethodException: void Verse.Log.Message(string,bool)"
I'm new to this Harmony patching thing and still learning, so I thought I'd take a look and see if I could figure out what the problem is. I think the bool argument just needs to be removed from Log.Message because there's no method in 1.5 to take it.

I'm finding that industrial-level towns will refuse to buy the flak items which were added by this mod, while they will still buy normal (cloth) flak vests. That seems like it probably just needs a small patch from you. Would you please look into it?

@[Liar] Lucky Flak vests made of any material with more than 66% sharp or blunt armor. Note however that they only protect the torso and that vanilla flak vests are fairly though anyway, having an armor of 100% compared to the 106% of marine armors.

Flak jackets and pants could be superior to a power armor of the same quality only if a material with 300% armor existed, but hyperweave, the thoughest vanilla material only have 200%.

Quality is going to be your biggest concern, a legendary flak jacket made of tough leather (bearskin or wolfskin for instance) is going to be thougher than a normal quality power armor

Thanks it always felt unbalanced that dusters could be better than flak jackets. Which flak fabrics are better than power armor? I'd like to avoid making that.

such a nice hidden gem. I was always annoyed by the fact that you cant choose which textile you want to use for your flak gear and i dont like to skip flak just to get to power armor.

This goes well with the "Thick Armor" mod. That mod kinda balances the multi layer armor advantage you get thus making power armor stronger. so no, with that mod there wont be an issue of flak armor beeing better then power armor.

I can confirm it appears to work flawlessly with 1.3, likely just needs <li>1.3> added to About.xml.

I hate to be that one guy, but any plans to update to 1.3? I really love this mod and hate to play without it. Not trying to be one of those people who just incessantly asks for an update, just want to know if I should prune it from my watchlist of unupdated mods of keep holding on hoping it'll pop up good one day.
If anyone knows if this will work in 1.3 I'd love to know. I'm still testing out my current mod mix so I'm not ready to test it myself yet, but if I do I'll post here again.

Argh, it's a pretty complicated case. I'm not sure where it can come from, either from Rimworld simply having quests be a bit buggy sometimes, from a weird incompatibility or maybe because spidersilks have issue when it is the stuff making a smeltable piece of gear.
It'll test it properly tomorrow, but for now you may try to add
<smeltable>false</smeltable>
somewhere in the xml for the spidersilk

@Aspirrator You're welcome! Middle-only leg armour is sorely lacking and pretty much no mod addresses it, and it makes no sense to me personally that flak pants would also make contact with the skin! So having both mods work together without having to ask users to dig into the XML is super cool, I sincerely appreciate you adding native support! <3

Colonists don't seem to be equipping the new vests (BIG thank you for those btw) on their own, even when they are set to wear them.

@zachareeh No, this mod doesn't change the flak vest, mostly because otherwise it could easily become much tougher than a marine armor and I'd like to avoid it
