This map was made with the early version of the game back in 2019, everything including terrain made manually. Everything including the bugs and map border glitches will probably stay with it forever lol. Thought it would be selfish not to share this with the community cause it looked kinda decent compared to the default map of the game at that time. This won't get updated unless I do everything from scratch. Additionally, I'm busy with univ and my old laptop's hard drive, which gave up on me, included the map files and was unfortunately beyond saving. So, to break it to everyone: this map definitely won't get updated anytime soon

The main areas I found were around the Binsk - Lyubinsk customs house, and the central Oil / coal field, with some smaller areas here and there.

After playing this map a number of times, and also having the issues that others have had, such as cursors getting locked on parts of the map / buildings not placing etc, I found a fix... simply using the smoothing tool, or slightly altering the terrain in those areas fixes it.

It's like those areas are in a black hole or something, but raising terrain (or smoothing etc) just a bit will fix it.

From the start id just auto smooth or level the areas I find then just reset funds via cheat menu then start building etc.

Bit of a weird thing with this map. Like a couple of other people it gives strange "interactions" when trying to build stuff. Buildings get stuck and then having to use zoom to release them to re-position while building. Roads building in the air and the cursor not being where it appears to be on the map. I thought it was the game and opened a discussion on the issues, but it only happens on this map.

I love the map and have tried to use it multiple times, but for some reason... Parts of the map have strange collisions. I could be on flat ground and can't build a road or building. There doesn't seem to be any reason for it & I've never ran into this issue on any other map. I get them mostly in the northern central area on flat ground & where the oil is by the big lake in the middle of the map.... Thanks for your hard work!

I have a problem with map border in some places. see the north-west end of map where river - you see "end map artifact" like a ground wall.

you need make 2 pixels border around the map with #2C2C2C color.

@Messeno To gain access into the offshore oil, you need to build islets and connect them with each other using bridges. I am hoping that they'd add oil rigs into the game in the future, to make use of the intended feature of offshore oil in the map.

Hello. @Kiszifur. In able to play the map, you need to update to the current test version of the game.
Go to Library > Collections > Right click on Workers and Resources > Properties > Betas tab > Click on the drop down button > test - > Wait for download > Play

I didn't know that you couldn't revert to an old version of a steamworkshop item, so I'm sorry if I didn't make a backup version.

Beautiful map. The thing that makes this one better than others, is the logical location of resources, and detailing otherwise flat areas, so they're not total desolate wastelands with tiling textures endlessly xD

I attempted this on the beta branch, I was getting some major lag on a very high end PC. Lots of lag when placing anything that you drag across the map.

I have found something about this issiue:

"Working with graphics editor
World Editor use 2048*2048 pixels heightmap, so you need to resize your file to these dimensions. Then change image mode to greyscale.

And remember:
Darker = lower terrain
Brighter = higher terrain

When you finish your heightmap, you have to do one, little thing before you export file.
->->->You have to make 2 pixels width, black border. Without this border you can see some visual glitches on map borders in game.<-<-<-

Now you can export .dds file. Format of .dds file:
R32F, no MIPmaps (you can try to export in BC1/DXT1 format of similar but users report that sometimes it makes problems while editing)"
