This is the best male hair mod on the workshop! I do not like the upscaled HD hair textures. They look weird in game imo

sorry but I think something is wrong with your mod in 1.5, some of the hairs go under "urban" category and the assigned sex is mixed up

Male and Female hair packs are outdated and super blurry in the game. Really needs a texture upscale. Can always get an AI to upscale for you to save time.

@Delta1138 thanks for the help, but I know about this feature and even though I configured the hairstyles to be available with every gender it still happens. I read through the comments a bit and saw that this is apparently due to the hairstyles being marked as "male" instead of "usually_male", or something like that? I tried to change that value myself, but since I have 0 experience with modding I utterly failed at that.

If this happens to you in the future my workaround is a mod called "no auto style change" plus disabling the "want style change" thought through the "cherry picker" mod. This at leas made it so my pre created pawns keep the looks I gave them. Still kinda sad I had to remove a vanilla feature like that, but it felt like the only way for me to get around this issue :')

@Hawler check/edit your Ideoligion if you have one, at the bottom of the ideoloigion page there will be a bunch of options re hairstyle, tattoo, beards. That is why they keep changing their hair to something else. If you are playing tribal then the won hairstyles as a default the hairstyles aren't autoselected by that faction/culture.

you can easily upscale the hairstyles with rimpy modmanager!

can anyone please tell me how I can get the hairstyles to be accepted by everyone in my colony without them wanting to change back to another hairstyle? I have seen that someone posted a tutorial for modders, but is there a way to fix this if I'm just using the mod (meaning if I'm not the creator, is there a way that I can fix this still?)

These hairs are going to need to be upscaled in resolution because they are a blurry mess in 1.4

Somehow my pawns want a look change, even though I made the hairstyles unisex in their ideology. Anyone know what's up with that and how I can fix this?

I have up-scaled the textures by 4x for this mod and the modder's female variant of it. Credit belongs to them, and them alone. I originally did it for myself, but thought I'd share since they come out quite nicely and I'd noticed others were looking for higher res textures.

@Won Could you upscale hair a bit and consider giving them proper names? as well as sort into categories for ideology hair system?

Could you consider to tag the hairstyles with <styleGender>MaleUsually</styleGender> rather than <styleGender>Male</styleGender> so they dont fire the "looks change desired" event for people using them on females?

it seems the "hairGender" was changed to "styleGender", as you can easily verify if taking a look at the core hair defs. if you could update, it would be lovely!

I may be formatting my ideoligion wrong, but I cant get these hairs to show up at the Styling table. They are showing up for randos, and during character creation. Thank you!
