I myself am trying to try to create models, I have yet to upload anything to the workshop, but I've been practicing. Only thing I can't really do is texturing

Thanks, I'll have to experiment a little more with curving the shield out.

As far as its functionality, I have a hard time imagining his original shield, as well as a lot of gear worn by other heroes, working any better for the very reason you mention :P

Also I can't imagine someone IRL using it, as their shoulder would be very unguarded because of the hole

It does look better, but I still don't really like how flat it is, is there any way to bend it a bit?

I've made some changes to the shield to have a better flow along the outside edge, and changed parts of the interior to hopefully provide some more visual interest.

I dont like this because of the lack of an inside curve, like the curve that the orginal shield has

not necessarily bad, but its just so plain I can't imagine anyone actually wanting this
