Anyone experience crashes with this mod enabled? Out of nowhere the game would crash when you're about to fight an ennemy in garrison, at the end of a battle once you're about to load the battle stats, when you click next turn... I mean am I the only one lol?

I used this mod but after every battle when this mod is activated, In the Post-Battle Summary (where you can see casualties and kill counts of units) the UI gets broken, like the buttons are missing, UI frame (some parts of it) is invisible and Unit Cards HP bar missing. Any fix for this? The only fix for me is to restart the game but that will be tedious as you have to restart the game every after battle.

@Oriflame i believe it should be possible to get the mod from your workhshop folder, place it in rome 2 data and it will say "you are the creator of this mod" and you should be able to update it

I really wish someone would resurrect this; reshade looks like total garbage compared to this mod.

What apparently can't be fixed is the "bypass interface" stuff, if you turn that on, the mod won't work (for me a shadering and shading mod would make sense only if it could bypass the interface, because then it wouldn't be able to touch texts etc)

Now.. I messed around with the settings and disabled all blurring etc, but in the end I just keep it off, because I don't see much point in messing with the graphics, I have some cool texture mods etc, and the game looks great already. :-)

But yes, I feel the same about this mod; that's the thing that never appealed to me: all the blurriness. BUT I will give it this if you dont look to closely at stuff, do not examine details, dont look at text. Then it does look pretty. I would say the approach is almost impressionistic in that you get the best experience by not examining the details but rather take in the impression from the full image as a whole.

You may be able to fix the blurriness this by adding a sharpening effect to the filter, though you are probably going to also introduce some shimmering if you that, so its a tradeoff.

Can anyone explain to me how is it this mod "enhances" anything? It just makes the game blurred and distorted, maybe people who have problems with vision will appreciate the changed colors, but how can anyone with good eyes abide by the fact that they can no longer see details or even read texts properly?

Download the mod and unpack into the data folder with Rome Total War. Then double click on GemSteamInstaler and GemUpdate. Now open Pack File Manager and click File, Open and Gem.Pack then GEMFX-Configuraton.exe will open the game configurator select what you want and Activate. Turn on the game, the Chinese characters should appear, it means that the mod is active for me, it works, the game looks beautiful, I recommend it.

How do I use this? Just sub and activate it in the mod manager?

Where are people finding GemFX? every link i get from google tells me Gemfx and Sweetfx have been absorbed by Reshade. Do the presets translate? Sorry if it's dumb, I am literally days old to TW modding and these external programs.
