You can use Prop Anarchy: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696146766 with Move It to colour props.
I use copy and paste with 'Move It' a lot, and every time I do so the props, trees, hedges, flowers etc were turning different shades of grey, black or a shade lighter than their original colour. If I imported a file from 'Move it' the props etc in those also are in different colours/shades.
It is not only 'Move It' that causes this. It also can happen with 'PLT' or just pulling the object out of the UI.
@Teddy Radko - the only way around i found is to convert the prop with PO and paint it with it. Which is a pain and only works with non-conforming to terrain assets. There is a mod that creates a non-conforming version of props that can also help.
See my stream what happened: https://youtu.be/o_qSdNIukro?t=2540
at 42:37, 2 fences placed by PLT goes irregular colors ( black and white ). So I changed colors after placement.
All you have to do is, once placed, use this mod to change the color to the one you want. When multiple prop placements need changed, I would normally recommend the copy/paste option, but since that isn't working right now, your only choice is to change each prop individually.
How can I fix that? or is it a bug?
As for copy/paste. That is actually an issue I've reported here at least twice, but have gotten no response.
You can read more about this here.
If you have a chance, can you take a look and see if you can identify anything in my game log?
I'm on Mac, so my Mod Compatibility Report is built-in.

Thanks so much!
I'm a bit sad that I have to choose and if I were to start a new city I think I'll choose this mod over the roads of NExt as it is so so easy to use and diversifies your city so much. So do use this mod, it works really well
If you already have fallen into this trap and have a major city project ongoing (as I had) but have older saved versions of it as well, use export function in the "move it"-mod to export the new parts, load up an older save from before you created the theme, and import them (use "restore" to get it in the right place). You will have to repaint the imported parts, of course, but it can still save a lot of time. Procedural objects also have a similar export function. Happy playing, cheers
@norlin.martin -- This was an incredible find. Well done.
Frankly, I am not quite sure how to fix this issue. My best guess at the moment is that the game tries to load new save data on top of the save data that already exists when new mods were loaded. Not sure how to check for this, but I'll look at it eventually.
Unfortunately, as for recovering corrupted save data, I have truly no clue how to recover it because I have no way to view the serialized data.
- I load up my (old) save (from when everything was working)
- I click theme mixer > terrain > change cliff texture, and select a texture from another theme
- Still in the theme mixer, I click the cogs at the bottom ("Mixes") and save a new mix, "test1".
(Still in the game, I can already notice that surface painter has started to behave strange: if I paint on an already painted surface, the paint disappears in a square around where I click)
- I save and quit the game
- I load up my game again. All painted surfaces are gone, and, relevant to your mod, all props are
back to default color.
- I set a color on a prop, save the game and quit
- I load up the game, the prop is back to default color once more.
