Re AH7 - Yeah was in A2. I'm working on an improved version for A3 too. There will be an Arma 4 version 100% new models too eventually.

@Alik Thanks for the compliments. Nice to know people are enjoying it.

Re #1 ACE - I hate to say it but I cant control what ACE does. We dont use it and I haven't tested it. If you want to create an ACE compat for it I'll happily help you out.

Re #2 That one of the trade offs. I know not everyone uses it but we fly with AFM and TrackIR so we don't have quite the same issue. I can see about making an optional patch addon to change the view angles etc too. Or at least a community template to help you change what you want yourselves.

Re #3 Realism was the prime requirement for this. It was meant to be a bit of a challenge to fly and once mastered to be more fun than the stock helos. Feedback says I achieved that. So I hope you are having fun.

Finally, the new CVWP weapons pack will open up some new weapon options that others have asked for. Spike, Hellfire, DAGR/APKWS etc.

I'm trying to get it all done ASAP but real life keeps interrupting. Please stick with me.

TLDR: Love the pylon modularity, the quirky features like the emergency flotation bags and tow bar, the handling, physics and texture quality, but it still needs a bit more work before units can comfortably use it.

Looked into this mod for my unit's air wing. At first when I spawned it in and just flew it around I was amazed at the interior and exterior texture quality, as well as the handling and suspension/landing physics. But when I looked into it's CAS role it all went to shit. 1) With ACE you go deaf even with any Pilot helmet + Earplugs when you start firing, don't even want to imagine what it's gonna be like for the infantry inside. 2) The default view angle is a bit lower than in other helicopters which at first was cool because you'd see all your instruments without free-look, but because it's lower than the black marker drawn circle on the windshield, when you zoomed in, it would zoom under the circle target, and the cabin would take a big part of your screen, making it very annoying for dumb-fire CAS runs where you need good visual contact. 3) The lack of heads up display also forces you to fly it like a Little Bird in King Of The Hill.

I cant replicate the CTD anymore. it was caused by a bade scope line in the config. Its all fine now. We've been playing with it online for the last few days.

I noticed that the game still crashed after I tried to switch weapons while I had a sea venom in the air. Could you also increase its range from 6 to 8km? It would be more reasonable to carry it over the martlet. Thanks!

This version:

- changes the way the pylons work. All the wings and pylons are now separate from the weapons. It just makes it much easier to add custom weapons in and other packs etc.
- adds the AH1 - No Radar, different load out options.
- Fixes the cargo numbers problem. It now only holds 2 crew + 4 passengers.
- Removes the messed up FFV config.
- Very slight flight model tweaks.
- Fixed the textures on the LAU5003 pod.
- Added fire modes to the the CRV7 rockets.
- Sea Venom tweaks. This will be completely replaced in the next version so stick with me.
- Various model and config tweaks.

Ok - i'm out.
Its amazing how far you can dig with a plastic spoon.

I'm just running through the last bit of the testing. We found a few errors and fixed most of the niggling bits.

This imminent release is V3.098
But due to issues with the Combined Vehicle Weapons Pack(CVWP) I've had to revert a few builds as previously mentioned. The release with the CVWP dependency will be V3.121

I have to finish some texture tweaks so I'm planning on releasing this tomorrow night (Friday 14th March)

Slight problem. I've just been admitted to hospital for observation. I switched off my main PC and the files are not on my server so I cant upload remotely.

I would use this helo as a surveillance and tank killer helicopter, so door guns won't be as helpful to me compared to others, but good to see the mod getting updated.

So I’ve had to revert a couple of versions and rebuild it carefully. To that end:

1- I’m about to push a version that fixes the cargo passenger issues.
2- This version might not have the new wing pylons in it as I’ve not quite worked out the problems with the scripting. MP issues again.
3 – The next update will have:
3a --- the Wildcat Ah1 version (without radar and different pylon capability)
3b --- A version of both the HMA2 and AH1 with the M3M door gun.
3c --- Will have a dependency on RKSL-Common and RKSL-CVWP. This update will coincide with the CVWP release obviously.

Right, the horribly delayed AW159 Wildcat update is due Monday 10th of March.

I was going to do it tomorrow but I've been asked not to so as not to screw with people's clan sessions in the evening.

Long story, but I’ve had a nightmare with this. I’ve had to back track a few versions. I’d decided to integrate it with the Combined Vehicle weapons pack (which just is not ready yet – its complicated). I also wrote in a load of new features…which turned out to be an issue in MP. And somewhere along the way I broke some other shite. I was driving myself mad.

Would you perchance be able to look into the Venom missile, & Bugged seating issues in the near future?

Now with the addition of the Expeditionary Forces DLC's new Amphib. Assault ship, it would be wonderful to use folding wildcats vs 3CB's Non-foldable one, provided whoever we carry isn't sitting on eachother's laps ;D

The venom missile always misses on my end. It either flies over the target in top mode or slams into the ground in sea-skimming mode.
