Schreib mich einfach an wenn du Erfolg haben solltest, werde dich dann entsprechend in den Credits adden. Den Code findest du auch auf GitHub.
https://github.com/Armitxes/ArmA_Seatbelt
An error appears when launching a game, the script "onVehicleLeave.sqf" line 11.
Thanks in advance for the corrections
Fixed a bug where the seatbelt icon is displayed at the wrong location.
After changing your resolution/profile you may have to restart your game for the icon to display at the correct position.
It's breaking/ignoring the vanilla ArmA 3 system to handle unit damage and I couldn't find any way to properly influence the damage handling of ACE3 despite looking into the ACE3 docs & source code.
Maybe a more experienced ACE3 dev can give a hint. Until then this mod won't break anything while playing with the ACE3 mod, but also won't apply the damage reduction.
Of course this mod still works for with vanilla ARMA3 & other mods that aren't ACE3.
Feel free to test yourself, here's with what I tested:
Vehicle: Offroad
Distance: 150m
Avg. Collision Speed: 90km/h
I am interested in seeing how this might improve survivability.
Fixed a minor bug reported by @2RGT Lux. When a player restarts or switches the mission while he was in a vehicle, and then spawned on foot - the seatbelt icon was still visible.
This should no longer occur.
Yes, it does support every kind of ArmA vehicles. As long as you manage not to blow up your air vehicle during the crash, you will have a greater chance to survive.
@Dj_Rolnik: I want to get the mod some time to detect and fix any bugs before I start working on new features and extras ;) - but I will keep your suggestion in mind.
@2RGT Lux: It took me a bit to reproduce what you described. When leave a mission while in a vehicle, and then join a mission where I spawn on foot: then yes, there seems to be a bug where the icon remains. This is quite a special / rare case that I didn't test ^^ I'm also surprised that ArmA 3 doesn't reset displays when switching between totally different missions.
Will work on a fix to be released very soon :) thanks for the report. Until then it'll fix itself when you enter and leave any vehicle.
Thanks!
a feedback... when u restart.... belt icon, is visible when you are out of vehicle.
- Fixed the bug reported by @Dj_Rolnik. The mod now also works when spawning in a vehicle at mission start.
Thanks for subscribing.
But it's no problem to fix that. You can expect a fix within 24h.
Update Nr. 2 regarding ACE3:
Okay, after my first quick look at ACE3 docs I now took a look at the actual code in the ACE3 mod and did also output the damage set by both, ACE3 and this mod. The tests proved that my initial assumption from yesterday was wrong.
This mod is fully compatible with ACE3 :) everything works as it should.
- Fixed a bug where the seatbelt icon is not displayed in some missions.
- You no longer require to set up anything manually :)
Thanks for subscribing.
