[Armitxes] Vehicle Seatbelts

Our mod will add useable seatbelts to every vehicle in your mission.
Works in singleplayer and multiplayer. The mod only affects players. Headless clients and the server itself are completly unaffected.

While in a vehicle, you can see over the icon at the top left if a seatbelt is weared.
In case of a vehicle crash, all received damage is reduced while a seatbelt is worn. Other damage (i.e. by shots) remains unaffected for realism reasons.
This behaviour is easily customizable via your mod and / or mission file.

No longer required since latest version. Simply subscribe, no further setup needed.

This mod is licensed under the "Arma Public License No Derivatives (APL-ND)[]" license.

In extend to this license, you have permission to use this mod on monetized servers aslong as you comply with the ArmA 3 Monetization Rules[].

Is this mod also compatible with ACE3? -> Damage reduction is not applied

An error appears when launching a game, the script "onVehicleLeave.sqf" line 11.

Would this mod work with ACE no medical? Since it removes the damage system or at least medical menus.

Fixed a bug where the seatbelt icon is displayed at the wrong location.
After changing your resolution/profile you may have to restart your game for the icon to display at the correct position.

ACE3 is designed to be the only thing to handle the damage of units.
It's breaking/ignoring the vanilla ArmA 3 system to handle unit damage and I couldn't find any way to properly influence the damage handling of ACE3 despite looking into the ACE3 docs & source code.

Maybe a more experienced ACE3 dev can give a hint. Until then this mod won't break anything while playing with the ACE3 mod, but also won't apply the damage reduction.

Of course this mod still works for with vanilla ARMA3 & other mods that aren't ACE3.

Yeah, same here - can't really discern much of a difference which is a bummer. This would be a great ace feature in general lol

My testing of the mod seems to suggest that with ACE it doesn't reduce damage whatsoever. As a matter of fact I got knocked unconcious twice with seatbelts as opposed to only once without (though I'd say that's rather a statistical anomaly). Either way, with a sample of 10 crashes with and 10 without, I cannot find a difference.
Feel free to test yourself, here's with what I tested:
Vehicle: Offroad
Distance: 150m
Avg. Collision Speed: 90km/h
