Thank you so much!
Lucasia  [author] Aug 7, 2020 @ 1:56pm
@Bojack, Yes the endura trait causes a regency and prevent marriage. It should also kill you within a few weeks. But if you're immortal it does not work, because immortality adds a huge amount of health. I never considered the effect on immortal characters, because I mostly play with supernatural events turned off.
You can lose the endura trait in two ways, either by converting to a different religion, or by console commands. If you enter "remove_trait endura" in the console the trait will disappear.
Bojack Aug 7, 2020 @ 12:54pm
Does the Endura trait disable marriage and cause a regent to take over? I clicked the event in an attempt to kill a incapable immortal character. It didnt work and now even after the incapable trait is gone ive been incapable and starving myself to death for 50 years. Just wondering if its the endura trait that is causing it or if so how do i remove it?

Thanks buddy
Lucasia  [author] May 1, 2020 @ 5:19am
@Siberian Frontier, Both Improved Genetics and my mod edit some vanilla trait files, thats why I had to make this version to make them compatible. This version requires the improved genetics mod to work properly, but the main mod will not work properly if combined with improved genetics. Regarding "Improved Genetics Advanced", that version seems to have the same versions of the trait files as "Improved Genetics 2.0" have, so this compatability version is most likely compatible with "Improved Genetics Advanced".
Siberian Frontier Apr 30, 2020 @ 5:18pm
Can i use this mod with "Improved Genetics Advanced" as well? also may i ask why main mod is not compatible with improved genetics?
Lucasia  [author] Apr 9, 2020 @ 11:14pm
@SmashingQuasar, thanks for the suggestion. If I do add a similar mechanic I think I want to connect it to the council in some way. I'll keep it in mind.
SmashingQuasar Apr 9, 2020 @ 1:34pm
@Lucasia I am aware of this but I was more thinking of a mechanic that would be accessible if you controll all of the orthodox holy sites as catholic and their moral authority is lower than 20 and yours higher than 80 you could just depose their religion entirely as a heresy. This would be a neat addition. I think it may break the sainthood system for the orthodox though.
Lucasia  [author] Apr 9, 2020 @ 11:17am
@SmashingQuasar, thank you for the feedback.
Regarding the Bibles, anyone can order bibles if they have scholarship or theology focus from Way of Life dlc (or the paragon of virtue ambition). The condition that includes Sons of Abraham dlc should actually be Way of Life dlc. The idea was to enable players who does not have Way of Life dlc to use the decision despite not having a life focus. I will fix it.

Regarding mending the schism and turning orthodoxy into a catholic heresy, I've added decisions and events for the Council of Florence, which converts a random number of orthodox and miaphysites into catholics. The events are based on the historical council of Florence, but since most orthodox and miaphysites eventually rejected the council I decided not to have this event turn orthodoxy and miaphysitism into catholic heresies. It felt more historical to keep them as separate branches.
SmashingQuasar Apr 9, 2020 @ 8:30am
Hey!

Great mod man, lot of work into it really. I am modding myself and you did a wonderful job!

A few things I wanted to ask:

- Any chance that you could make it so the Catholic can forcefully mend the Great Schism? I mean by that making Orthodoxy a heresy of Catholicism. This is something I've seen asked so many times by players. I would love that myself as well obviously.

- I think it is your mod that adds Bible decisions. If so, then I think you could/should tweak those. They don't seem to be usable if you have Sons of Abraham. I know you have a decision to hide them but wouldn't it be easier to not show them if Sons of Abraham is activated? I have never modded decisions so I am not sure there is a way to do that but it would be much more practical. I also believe that the vast majority of players have Sons of Abraham anyway.

Hey have you ever thought about making this compatible with HIP? It probably wouldn't be easy but it would be awesome! :D

stickypepsi13 Nov 12, 2019 @ 11:20am
Alrightly, thanks for the response :)

If you could it'd be great, I like that mod and absolutely adore this one. Either way, good job and work you do :)
Lucasia  [author] Nov 12, 2019 @ 9:22am
@Aventius, yes but so far I decided not to because they wasn't around by the time of Charlamagne.
@stickypepsi13, it's possible and it would be great but I have no plans for it now.
Lucasia  [author] Nov 12, 2019 @ 9:20am
@kamcity13, I've tested it and the game seems to run fine. You are supposed to get "never" as Crisis of Faith game rule, but not sure if that always happens. You also get no spawned artifacts but characters will buy then, heresies use main religion holy sites and chaldeans, apollinarians and judaizers don't get their religious heads. The last issue may be solved by console commands granting the titles (d_chaldean etc) to unmarried male courtiers and kill them. This activated the titles. If your old save doesn't have Improved Genetics you must use the standard version of this mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1686936562

Do you think you could make a compatibility patch with African Religions Overhaul?
Aventius Nov 10, 2019 @ 11:47am
Have you thought of adding Arianism?
Imperial_Taizu Nov 10, 2019 @ 8:16am
Is this save game compatible?
Lucasia  [author] Nov 10, 2019 @ 5:09am
I've added a new game rule "Catholic Crisis of Faith". This enables an event where catholicism has a crisis, lowering moral authority but also enabling rulers to be named Defender of the Faith (a powerful trait). The intention is to add more challenge for late game catholicism, where you otherwise may have constant 100 MA, but it's possible to set game rules enabling the event at any time as well. By default the Crisis and its event are disabled, and according to my tests this will be the game rule in old saves. If people want it I may add simillar game rules for orthodoxy, miaphysites and nestorians, but they are usually not as strong as catholicism in 1066 and later starts.

@Drhys721, just use the standard version of this mod instead

Nice
Lucasia  [author] Oct 31, 2019 @ 12:23pm
The update today includes:
- Added the option to appoint unlanded ecclesiarchs as religious head, if the religious head is a vassal. There are several restrictions of course, and it hurts moral authority to do this.
- Added several patron saint events for all non-gnostic eastern christians.
- Made separate event chains for chaldean confirmations.
- Added Holy Maid event chains, inspired by The Maid of Kent Elizabeth Barton, St Bridget of Sweden and others (three different endings).
- Added Holy Hermit event chains based on russian holy men such as Basil the Blessed (three different endings).
- Bedtime stories.

@Lucasia, much appreciated!
Lucasia  [author] Oct 28, 2019 @ 10:47am
@Teaplease, I've looked it up and it seems this version is compatible with Improved Genetics Advanced. The relevant trait files appear identical between the versions and it worked when I tested it. I'm not 100 % sure but it does seem to work fine.
Lucasia  [author] Oct 27, 2019 @ 11:41am
@bobsmith, thanks for the suggestions ;)
@Teaplease, I'll take a look at it, with some luck this version may be compatible
Sir Cum'sized Oct 27, 2019 @ 9:35am
Hello! Can you also make patch for the Improved Genetics Advanced ?
bobsmith Oct 26, 2019 @ 12:57pm
C: In addition to idea B, there's a possibility for a treaty being signed between the Pope and the empire. In which the Pope gives up political claims and the empire gives up any claim to religious authority. In-game this would be modeled by making Papal Investiture the sole investiture law for the empire, The now vassal Pope cannot join factions and the Pope will no longer grant claims or sanction invasions (but will still call crusades).
bobsmith Oct 26, 2019 @ 12:56pm
Sure thing here's some ideas:
A: Leave pressing a anitpope's claim untouched, but it should massively tick off almost all other Catholic realms (as well as cause problems in one's own realm). In the base game when the Papacy is taken by an antipope everyone just kinda rolls over and says "well I guess this is the new pope now :(" but in real life such a event would have likely have caused a gigantic religious and political conflict. (in some ways I think it might make more in game sense for the "new papacy" to start as a heresy)
B: Some way of modeling something like the byzantine Papacy. In-game a large Catholic empire that borders Rome could try and "claim" the Pope as a vassal. The Pope might accept under different conditions (e.g. the emperor has lots of virtue traits, Rome is threatened by outside invasion) or a war breaks out and The Pope can call other Catholic realms to his defense (if such a thing can be modded).
Lucasia  [author] Oct 24, 2019 @ 9:14am
@bobsmith, thanks :) I've not really though about it. The papacy was very keen of keeping its independence during medieval times, so I'm quite happy about how it works in vanilla. I'm open to suggestions though.
bobsmith Oct 20, 2019 @ 7:08pm
really nice mod here! Have you thought about changing how vassalizing the Pope works? The vanilla way of pressing the claim of an antipope always seemed pretty weird to me.
Lucasia  [author] Oct 15, 2019 @ 11:49am
For EU4 players: I'm looking into the possibility of making the new heresies becoming their own religions in converted CK2 games. If you have any suggestions for which features and modifiers these should have plase let me know in the discussion page.
Lucasia  [author] Oct 15, 2019 @ 11:35am
@Rob'sEvilTwin I can see why such suspicions would arise. Far in the future I might try to add dispensations, although they would primarily be available for independent rulers since dispensations was granted kings and emperors for "state reasons" with the purpose of keeping the peace. The idea from the Church was that if rulers were married the chance of war was significantly reduced. Right now I'm more focused on adding some orthdodox/miaphysite flavour and reworking some of the council/schism events.
Rob'sEvilTwin Oct 14, 2019 @ 8:50pm
@Lucasia and @Shegamer. Suspicious people might think that maybe a Hapsburg made a nice and very devout offering to the Church, and purely co-incidentally were granted dispensation to marry a first cousin!
Lucasia  [author] Oct 6, 2019 @ 6:56am
@SheGamer: Thanks for the support ;)
Regarding counsin marriages: They were forbidden by both catholic and orthodox canon law. Catholics even forbade second and third cousins to marry. Before 1215 AD it was even more strict. The pope could grant dispensations in rare cases but this was more common for rulers after the renaissance. See this article http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/04264a.htm
SheGamer Oct 6, 2019 @ 4:55am
Great mod! Just one thing...
"Cousin marriages are disabled for many christian religions" : Marriage between first cousins were EXTREMELY frequent among the European nobility. See the Habsburg for instance...
Lucasia  [author] Sep 11, 2019 @ 10:30am
@ツKappar1n0™ It's a decision that gives the sympathy trait for dharmic religions. It's simillar to the decision many pagans have. The inspiration is some peculiar practizes among nestorians in India and Mongolia, as well as them being tolerated by other religions in those areas.
ツKappar1n0™ Sep 11, 2019 @ 3:34am
What exactly is meant with Nestorians being able to synkretize with eastern Religions?
