Haven't played in a while. If I remember correctly there were some Dinghys or other boats for that mission.
I don't think they had a visualized winch.

You had an option in the context menu to use it at the site.

Do you need a special type of boat for the salvage supplies mission? It says you need a winch.. will I see boats along the coast that have a winch? Haven't seen any yet.

@Traenrek, Those settings are in your Arma difficulty, if you choose a custom difficulty you should be able to disable the assist options while leaving the AI settings as you wish.

I would like to remove crosshairs and most of the UI elements like seeing our names when pointing at each other etc. They are tied to the difficulty setting right? So if I increase the difficulty will the AI get significantly harder as well? Is it advised to just keep it on normal or regular or whatever it is right now by default.

@Traenrek, Do you play with ACE? If so you will need to configure the settings for the medical module to fit you wishes. Antistasi doesn't change the resilience of AI.

We have an antistasi server running and evrything is fine, but the enemies like to take so many hits before going down. My friend had to shoot an enemy AI 4 times in the side with an intervention for them to not get up anymore. Is there a way to maybe decrease enemy HP or something??

Socrates has their own ideas and development direction and we have ours. If you prefer their version by all means play it. This version will continue to be developed in a direction our team thinks best fits our vision for what the mission should be. Our team is fairly diverse in ability, specialism, and available time, as such it can be the case that a developer does not have time to finalise every feature of a project they begin before an update rolls out. Therefore, they strive to create a stable, though not fully complete, system that can be released and after this they can continue their work for the next version to be released.

Sidenote, while you are entitled to your views and opinions, being polite is far more conducive to having your feedback listened to and taken on board, insulting peoples work is decidedly not polite.

There's also a link in the description which takes you to each modset collection when you want to fight against different factions. Anything you use outside of them you run at your own risk as it probably isn't tested. AI mods in particular are a bad idea as there is already an AI mod scripted into the mission itself.

Another problem is people run 30+ modsets which increases the initialization / load time of the mission and people just don't wait long enough.

I looked the comments, and yeah.
Game is cool and well done, but thous reinforcments are little bit too quick and far to many for one retake mission from AI. Cant hold and defent simple resource. That should be fixed.

Just below the list of mission page links we have a link to the collections used on the community servers, this lists most of the compatible mods. There's a couple of others such as civilian car packs that are not included there, but all major mods have a collection for them.

I have an issue with the side missions. Whenever I request one, I get notified that the map has been updated. Upon checking, there is no mission on the map or anywhere else. The only mission I can do is city supply. Upon requesting it, the crate pops up and I have to inspect it to find out where it's supposed to go. It is also worth noting that no random missions appear either. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm having a problem where enemy AI just spawns out of nowhere every time it says that they are executing an unknown mission or right before it. It happens soon as i attack. It's like an army spawns in and attacks. Its impossible to take over a resource point or ambush a checkpoint. They attack from all angels doing a 360 around me. Also, for some reason they know where my base is even though I never drive there when wanted nor is it anywhere near their territory. Even when I'm undercover, I watch them run pass me towards the direction of my base. Like 2 squads.

Due to the mission having it's own integrated AI mod the use of other AI mods is not recommended and can cause unpredictable results.
Please make sure you have all the required mods from the modset you are trying to use and no partial mods from other modsets, such as RHS + 3CB weapons etc, as this may interfere with the mod detection that tells the mission what templates to use.

This mission is not working on my dedicated server. I am using additional mods such as ACE, LAMBS, CB3, and all the RHS's except for SAF. Is this reason for issues? We can get into the game but then theres nothing. Theres nothing in the arsenal and the enemies are not populating and everyone is naked. Please help.

As I remember, after sending a QRF the faction should have a timer before sending a new one... the timer doesnt exist in this version

the mission is broken, no matter what we do, Blufor keep sending QRF every 2 min, for exemple we attacked a Ressource point, QRF sent in a few seconds, after we treat the QRF, another one instantly, we got like 5 Helicopter in a matter of 5 minutes for a stupid Ressource point... not Outpost... Ressource... 5 Helicopter...

Please note that there are a few minor issues with 2.5.0 like garrisons not being taken over from the previous version and for example fuel trucks not being noticed as such in the garage.
We are already working on a hotfix and it will be published shortly.

Cam Lao Nam will be merged together with the next large update, which will drop within the next few days and from then again all updates should have all maps in them.

@Dabman, There is a zeus module on all of our missions to facilitate admins and troubleshooting.
The host (on a LAN server) or logged in admin (on a dedicated server) can access this using their normal zeus binding.

The default zeus binding conflicts with a menu added by the mission, it is recommended to rebind zeus to another key.

is there any way for us to edit the mission with zeus so we can add modded patrols and things like that? im trying to get the fleet of ships to patrol the outside because I have a big ship I want to use in the mission

@chiken, We do not support any AI mods as we have one integrated into the mission itself. Some people have reported mixed success running LAMBS however we cannot offer support for the AI behaviour if you use it.

@mr_770 We maintain some backwards compatibility but it isn't guaranteed. Try loading our version and see if it loads, might want to make a backup of your profile.vars file beforehand as that is where the save is stored.

We are always looking into further balancing.
Nevertheless, as it's kinda hard to get feedback from singleplayers compared to getting feedback from multiplayers, the development of the SP adjustments also is slower.
