TheBlueprint can be bought at paranid, holyorder and also trinity, if you did complete the quest.

Monitor doesnt have much room for guns. But the Terran ships look like they can carry a lot more. :-)

How about the Split Monitor with 2 big gun on top 1 on bottom. I use it as a Carrier. faster if you like Shield if you like ,Big Gun yes please and thank you.

Wow. I think you might want to start with the Free Families dragon, not the Zyarth dragon. Much less hull, but SOOOOOOOO fast, and if it had better shields why would it need a strong hull...?

That's why you make a special save that's only for modding, you don't want to cheat that much in the save you actually PLAY from. Lol

Yeah but for modding you can use a little shortcut: first, know that your savegame directory is documents/egosoft/x4/some random number/save. Knowing that, you can use 7-zip to unpack your save files into XML files, and edit them with Notepad ++.

From there you can do any number of interesting things, from streamlining the shipmod process (I use it to make my mods more consistent so my weapons don't fire all weird) all the way to cheating yourself money, blueprints, and relationships. So if you want to make a modding save, just start a new game, set your money at 10,000,000,000, and set your relationship with the Free Families and Zyarth Patriarchy to +30 and there you go; you're free to fly off into Split space from Heretic's End, find the Zyarth wharf (Worf is a Klingon, not a Split) and test all the Split Dragons (or whatever else you put in the shipyard) you want.

Yes, and even more important, I need to build the new ship and test, if everything is working. So I need to be Ally to the Split families and find worf and shipyard. I will get there, it needs time though. It is all about the testing, the game is flaky, and modding it is something quite the ride. Especially if you can't test your stuff.

The inactive jumpgate in Heretic's End is now active and leads to the Zyarth Patriarchy. They start at -15 relationship and show hostile but unless you shoot first (I did, because I wanted the ships) they won't fight you; don't leave your turrets in 'shoot everything red' mode. The Xenon sector off of Hatikvah's Choice also has a jumpgate that is now active and leads to them too.

There's also a brand new jumpgate off of Profit Center Alpha from which it's possible to reach the less-hostile Free Families; they start off at -5 like the HOP. But you'll find their ships attacking the HOP. I think there are a couple more, too, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

You need to find the ship in-game before you can make mods of it?

Can you just put two more shield generators on a Dragon and call it Satan? I mean, if it had even as much shields as the nemesis it'd blow it out of the water. Give it one MORE than the Nemesis, and...

Ugh, I can't begin to figure out Blender. I should probably audit a Youtube video on it. Meanwhile, an X4 update just dropped, so I find myself wondering if my savegame is going to be compatible. And which of my mods will have to go. =x I also wonder if this is the big 3.0 update with the Split stuff? It's downloading awful fast for that.

I already have Notepad++. I can't keep track of all the different elements that go into these ships when I'm just working with text stuff though. I'll need to find something that shows me a catalog of the available parts and lets me see where they go together. Maybe this ultraedit thing can do that? If not, I'll have to wait for something more graphical. :P

If you like you can try to make the modifications yourself after unpacking the game or just the mod.
The remove turrets you just need to remove them out of the xml:

Ah, now it get's interesting. You need an editor, which you are able to edit xml files with, that actually is it. If you work with the extracted files, not the archives, you can launch the game and see your result right the way.
The file I would start with is:
nadia.xml
And you can find it in:
J:\Steam\SteamApps\common\X4 Foundations\extensions\nadia\assets\units\size_l
on my Rig, you can replace the J:\Steam with your Steam Home on your Rig.
Same thing is with the Stardust. How do you unpack the archives?
Get X-Tools for X-Rebirth, its the same for X4.

And the Ship is called Stardust because of the same reason there is a Point Of Mod.

And yes, that's the Stardust, although I can't fathom what he was thinking when he came up with the name, I'd have picked 'Dreadnought'. I don't think many people actually know the history behind that name, but I do. It originally WAS the name of a ship, and the first Dreadnought was as much of a game changer to real world navies as a Colossus body with that kind of firepower is to the X universe.

He should've nerfed most of its small ship capacity and not buffed the speed that much though imho. I wonder if I can get into its files and tweak that myself... What software do you use to build these ships anyway? Can't say I wouldn't like to try my hand at it. XD

Alright, yeah, wouldn't mess with that if it's supposed to be there. As for the rest, how about you just remove two M turrets fore and aft? Taking out the ones in the middle on the aft and those two in the very front would make it look less... encrusted, at least, while still actually being better than original armament. As for the extra shield generator, I guess that's not a big deal if it won't fit, but, it looks like it should fit behind the one in the middle, if you rotate it 90 degrees.

They may not 'flee' exactly, but before you made these I'd had Shuyakus just continue on with their assigned courses right past a K. Some of them even made it. If they weren't so slow, unwieldy and under-shielded, some of the ones that didn't make it would have. I can already see a Nadia making it through where they didn't even if it was unarmed.

More Shields are a probnlem, but I will see, what I can do about your request. You want also the orginal L turret removed? Just keep in mind, transports won't flee, they fight against attackers, until they got stripped of all those turrets. That is the Egosoft KI, I don't know how to change that behaviour.

hmm, which ones exactly... I think I'd like to see the clusters of 6 M turrets reduced to 2 in the rear, 3 in the front. Also cut out the L turrets entirely. But I'd like it if it could have one more main shield generator in return. My main problem with big freighters isn't pirates; they can generally hold out against those until I can get there in person. My big freighters mostly seem to die to Xenon K's, and as you've mentioned, making them able to take on one of those would be just silly. But if they're tough enough and fast enough--and Nadia's already pretty good on that score--they can escape from a K, or even an I, and that's what I'd like to see. Thank you!

@rdouglas There actually are a couple of mods out there that do just that. But I don't use them. Instead, my latest favorite is the one that arms the crap out of a Colossus, including putting TWELVE capital main-gun mounts on it.

I like the idea of a somewhat better freighter than the vanilla ones, including it being better armed, but I think giving it more turrets than a Behemoth might have been going a bit far. Also it kind of looks like it has some kind of rash, there are so many of them. I'd like to request a version with these turrets pruned back a bit; maybe half as many.

Actually I would be very careful with Split Mods right now, since the new expansion will come out soon. I will make sure, all my mods are compatible with the expansion asap after release.
