I really wish ships in game (NPC faction Ships) would be larger in scale and nicer looking, more in line with this ship!
Since i actually play the game and not just design ships, it really annoys me to see these small (mostly black boxes) "battleships" that are cramped with guns all over the place that make these ships look like moderatley size scrap heaps at best.
The Devs should really get more ppl like you, who to know how to design a good looking ship, for their game, tbh.
Best regards
However thank you for your input and ideas and I totally agree the ship deserves more space utillised. TBH that was the plan but after 100 hrs I just wanted the build out. So I could focus elsewhere. That was my mistake, I should have waited till it was 100%.
Also by 'top front side', do you mean above the ship or torwards the end of the "giant thrusters"? While that would be possible, I would rather not as it would probably mess the exteriors design. But I'll look into it.
turn off automatically. But I will look into improvements I can make on this.
I will look into adding more elevators.
I does run out of fuel rather quickly, which is why I added an option to turn off some thursters(mainly the main thrusters) without the loss of control. But I will increase the space of the engine rooms
and thus utilise more empty space and increase fuel capacity in the process.
Regarding the artileries, I do agree it makes more sense to have most weaponry in the front, for better attacking. However this ship was not intended with warfare in mind, but just for it,
to be able to handle itself should the fight come to it. I will however see what I can do :)
Thank you everyone for your kind words! I appreciate it alot and it really makes me wanna keep going, especially towards my exterior which is of course what I put the most focus on.
Based on some comments, it does however seem as if my interior could use a brush or two, as I did expect :) and I will for sure take that into consideration in the future and work on that front. Furthermore I will soon (no promises on when) improve on the ships interior.
However like others have said, there's a lot of areas that could use some more detailing. More texture variations in general as well.
It would be cool to see some officer quarters, barracks, offices, observation areas. Odd little maintenance channels, bathrooms, cryo bay, full medical area. The blue halls could be filled with these things. I also noticed there's quite a bit of space between the outside hull and interior room walls.
I know these things are easier said than done, and having space is nice, but it comes with the territory to make such a large ship have a bit more going on than just being big.
I think the interior and exterior are both marvelous.
To my perception, the interior fits/matches the exterior for it's strict simplicity, yet rich in details.
I very much like the distinction between the functions of the Rooms, which are well and logicly spread.
GREAT doorways. love them!
Understanding that you don't like doing interior work, this ship could definitely be enhanced in that regard. Maybe you could try and collaborate with one of the other designers around here for that. There's definitely a lot of giant open areas that feel like unfinished and/or wasted space.
I'd love to see the interior updated by someone to feel like it's a functional ship rather than a REALLY cool looking hull with big empty spaces inside.
Having said that, the interior is still 100 times better than anything I'd try to do! ;)
Other than that she burns fuel fast but there is plenty of free space available to the player to install more tanks o2/fuel. As for the internal, it looks like a base. Nothing bad with that but as an idea I imagined you could make the internal as the outer looks, more rich with decor ofcourse. Maybe if you take ideas from other famous creaitons you might get ideas to adopt to your.
One lst thing, so far : The artileries should be towards front and far from the bridge since this part should be closer to the POI the arties shoot at.
A ship with class, functionality and spirit. An eye catcher and a tool. Thank you for sharing her.
