Copying the Highlander's CookedPCConsole folder into %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame lets the game load "normally"
I honestly don't remember. Currently no plans for that, but it's not out of the question either.
There's no harm in still using Weapon Fixes alongside BETA Highlander if you still need Weapon Fixes for something. In case of SPARK Arsenal, Weapon Fixes is required to fix visualization for Incinerators, so you should keep it.
Thank you. If I unsubscribe from weapons fixes, will your Spark Arsenal 3.2 still work? I just saw a big warning, lol. Thanks again!
There are no fixes in this update that will help you resolve that issue.
Update to v1.28.0 was published. This release brings mostly bugfixes, particularly, it integrates many bugfixes from the MrNice's Weapon Fixes mod.
Update to 1.27.1 was published. This release is nearly identical to 1.27.0, we've just reverted one of the smaller bugfixes, as that caused another bug.
It does not change the parameters themselves, but it does fix the underlying code so that REACTION_DASHING_FINALMOD actually gets used.
REACTION_DASHING_FINALMOD=0.6f)
Thanks for letting me know!
Sorry about that!
You don't need to disable the Disable Aim Assist mod, it will just not do anything without the beta Highlander.
I posted a portion of the log where the problem happened on one of the occasions. I exited to the menu once I saw the turn was skipped and the alien turn began.
I can certainly try that, yes, after disabling the Disable Aim Assist mod. Might take a while before I get to another mission involving civvies though. It's a new save so I will keep it, of course.
You can upload your Launch.log to pastebin.com
..\Documents\My Games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Logs\Launch.log
But this will probably not help.
Make sure you keep the save where the issue happens. Do you think you can test the same save with the current Stable Highlander?
I only added the two Beta Highlanders today to support Disable Aim Assist.
And this happened like 4 times in the same mission, every time it got triggered after I stumbled onto civvies and ran off.
How can I submit to you a portion of the log where the bug occurred? If that helps.
I play WotC (not LWotC) with 413 mods installed, including both the latest Community Highlander mods. In the Community Highlander XComGame.ini configuration file, the value is set to bDontUnequipWhenWounded=true. However, after being wounded, my operatives continue to remove their equipment. By running the game exclusively with Community Highlander without other mods, I found out that the function works fine, so the problem is in one of the mods. Does anyone have any information on mod\mods that might interfere with this feature of Community Highlander?
What are you talking about?
And this has been in development for a long time, why is now that the one EVERYBODY uses, no longer works?
Update to 1.27.0 was published. This release mostly features bugfixes, particularly the infamous "huge lag spike when moving units" should be significantly reduced now.
Thanks you, this helps a lot, we'll see if we can reproduce it.
Crash happens with a Templar on squad after reaching Plasma tier weapons and ONLY AFTER UNLOCKING THE ABILITY CHANNEL(the one that drops focus on kill) and will happen randomly during the mission.
Grapples, Whiplash and several Status Procs from any unit will cause the game to crash randomly(Acid, Elerium, Poison, AP rounds so far and most of the time when a unit is killed). Kept playing without channel ability and can play for hours with no crashes, Tested with a back up save and only upgraded my templar before going inside mission, thats how i tracked it down.
Cleared a campaign with no highlander and channel active and no crashes so it only happens after installing it.
Thats it so hope it helps.
These two mods are now integrated into the BETA Highlander:

Update to 1.26.0 was uploaded. Full changelog can be found here:

Alright, thanks for your report, we'll look into it.
SMG or Bullpup?
Thanks for your report, we'll look into it.
When running a templar on your squad upon reaching tier 3 weapons and equipement, any skill involving grapples from any unit on the map and status procs (Venom and Acid) will cause the game to crash often.
I've lost Several Campaigns trying to track this issue to no avail, changing and removing mods and starting fresh, but that was because the real problem was highlander (Not sure if is the normal one or the Alien hunters the one that causes it). i remember a couple of years ago finishing a full campaign with only the regular highlander so could be one of the updates it got.
- Fixed camera zoom-in bug caused by Free Camera Rotation and other mods that increase maximum camera zoom-out distance.
- Fixed Highlander bug ithat caused Reapers and Templars to always generate with USA names and no country in their bio.
- The option to enable Framerate Smoothing is now blocked, as it is known to break mods with Mod Class Overrides. If you have ever enabled Framerate Smoothing previously, you have to delete this file to undo the harm caused by this setting:
..\Documents\my games\XCOM2 War of the Chosen\XComGame\Config\XComEngine.ini
- The following bugfix is now integrated into this version of the Highlander as is no longer necessary:

Most noticeable features:
- It's now possible to choose the melee attack tile even when right next to the target.
- Status icon for negative effects under the unit flag will now show up more often.
