Thank you! Took a bit to find the mod since I have 100 installed xD but once I did it was easy to do. And yes, I love this mod. I missed the days of barbarian wolves, and this is a step up from that.

@Meldiron - Only via xml editing. If you want to do that, find the mod folder, open the file 'Wild_Predators_Units.xml' with a program like Notepad for instance, then find the unit entry 'UNIT_ANIMAL_GORILLA' and set 'Combat="24"' to whatever you like. I'm glad people still enjoy the mod years after release. :)

Is there a way to adjust the strength of the animals? I had a hippo with strength 32 (if I am remembering correctly), but then I had a gorilla which only had a strength of 20 something. And I believe the gorilla should be stronger, or at least the same as a hippo.

Besides this, I have played for several hours and I am really liking the mod.

dont know why, this mod used to work, just doesnt anymore. no animals are spawning. all i have on are all expansions and this mod (and cheat mod to see the map when testing), no other mods.

I hate/love both this mod and the prehistoric add-on a LOT.
It is a far more lethal and challenging environment to explore.
Far more settlers to find and with the barb XP mod maxed out units occur much more quickly.
I highly appreciate all the great work gone into this !

@Doc |♚STONE♚| - The ocean animals are actually not able to enter coast tiles, so they should stay on ocean tiles. This means pillaging harbors etc. should be impossible for them. Thanks for your nice words!

Is there a way to update your mod so the ocean creatures stop plundering and destroying Lighthouses and harbors? Congrats for your Amazing work, a "must have", in my opinion!

@Raiko - They will attack, if your units are on ocean tiles and the animals have a chance to win the battle.

@Justin - Thanks for your nice sentence! If people would make more comments like yours and less comments with complaints, some modders would upload more stuff they did. :)

@Meanie - Yeah this is not exactly a bug. When we made the mod, there was no way around making the animals barbarians. So the alert just says what the animals are...

Mod doesnt seem to be compatible with JNR's 6T. The Gameplay/Wild_Predators_Units.xml is not inserting the statements, which causes the issue. Changing the load order doesnt do the trick. Tried rewriting the xml files to sql but those do not run. I ensured that I was referencing the correct file in modinfo's UpdateDatabase and Files. Ill be more than happy to help, just let me know if there's something i to check to make the files run

You could try Leugi's Wildlife++ Mod, he said that in game setup screen you have a checkbox to make the animals weaker, and a slider to reduce the spawn rate.

Overpowered animals totally terrorizing my game to the point I need a size 10 army even to protect a single farm. Cant build anything much less discover new areas. Wow, way freaking too overpowered. really they need to be toned down.

depends on what you want to edit. Simple Db and Lua Editing should be possible directly in the mods folder (read the mod description where the folder is). If you want to add new animals with 3d assets etc., then i suggest to read the mod description of the Prehistoric Version. There you should find the link to Deliverator‘s GitHub repository. Download the Wildlife Repository, then you have the Wildlife modbuddy project, from here you need to know how to use blender 3d software and Gimp, Photoshop or Paint net for textures.

The mod will not change anymore. So will not add or edit something. I do not know the answer regarding the Prehistoric Version…never tried it myself.

Also can you add in octopuses, squids, jellyfish, and swordfish for aquatic animals? Make Kraken a rare mythical boss unit. pls with strawberries?

And this mod works with prehistoric wildlife right?

Hey why don't the aquatic animals ever attack my boats? They just sit there. The land animals attack fine.

@kongkim take a look into the .lua file. Then it is set in that line:

local iTargetNumberOceanPlotsPerAnimal = 140

i believe you have to set it to a higher value for less ocean animals.

Good mod, but are there a way to limit or lower the number of sea animals but not land?
