Don't know really. My mod makes so weapons don't drop at all, so I'm not sure if there could be a problem.

some questions i had myself before downloading the mod, downloaded and checked for myself:

can you make it so the pawns dont drop stuff when downed, but drop stuff when killed? yes

usually if you kill a pawn their clothes become tainted, what about the weapons now, since the weapons are still equipped on death? no, still, only clothes are tainted, weapons are fine

Hmmm, I noticed that pawns with equipped shields from Vanilla Expanded Framework still drop on down. Could we get that treated like a weapon for this mod?

does allied/hostile ai also have changes to make use of this? like when gun is out of ammo and a downed colonist is near them they'll strip it for more ammo or a new gun

I’ve also just encountered an exception when killing a metalhorror, do you need a log? It basically comes to this:

>Tried to drop all inventory near pawn but the pawn is unspawned. pawn=Metalhorror273487


Because metalhorrors don’t leave behind corpses when they die. I’m pretty sure the exception is harmless, though, and dying metalhorrors correctly spawn their usual loot.

Might be a mod list issue cause i have CE and Vanilla Expanded stuff added but can't choose what item's to unload on a downed pawn but can do so from a died pawn

this mod is a beloved favorite of mine, thank you so much for maintaining it!
if you ever have the time, could you ever look into patching warcaskets? for context, warcaskets can't be stripped, which means any items they may be carrying cannot be taken away from them. this is not an issue in vanilla, where they drop all their items and weapons to the ground by default. this hurts especially with ce, where warcaskets carry a lot of valuable ammo and drugs
it's fine if you don't have the time, though. thank you for your work nonetheless!

so I figured the issue - if you have mac Silicone you need to download a special patch for Harmony, because harmony seems to be broken on Mac Silicone machines. mod called “Harmony for Apple Silicon” :gk_smile:

I'd love to have this only apply to my colonists. Don't care if enemies drop their stuff, but I just hate micromanaging re-equipping weapons after my boys go down.

For some reason this mod on version 1.5 breaks my Menu UI. Everything greys out/missing all text in-game for pause menu, right click actions, etc. Learning Helper gets cut off aside from the top orange bar. Everything is back to normal when this mod gets disabled. Not sure if it's clashing with one of my other mods? Any help would be appreciated

Idk avil it sounds like JoeOwnage can't physically survive without this mod; shame he can't learn to code and spend a large amount of time to give the community new tools to enjoy their game for FREE. Also, avil is probably just waiting for 1.6 to go stable, which is not a crazy thing to do.

trying this with 1.6, i cant strip or stripping prisoners or dead raiders, no settings changed it. a hauling mod also didnt work so i disabled that too.

Looks like someone already addressed the mechanoid problem I was just about to report, I'll +1 on that since it's pretty tedious that you can't even force the Soldat Raiders from The Dead Man's Switch to drop their weapons after death when ever I get pirate raids that include Raider Soldats, or any mechanoids from The Dead Man's Switch really because the main gimmick is that they're capable of picking up various kinds of weapons.

I'm having the same problem as the comment below about the mod's relationship with the mechanoids. I'm using The Dead Man's Switch at the moment and I haven't been able to solve it. When defeated, the mecha displays a "strip" button in the inventory tab, implying that it is necessary to press it to get the equipment when disassembling, but nothing happens. I've already changed many settings of the pinata mod, but without success.

I'll try. In many cases checking if pawn is mechanoid usually dumbs down to checking if it's not anything else, so could be tricky.
Having an issue w/ multiple mech related mods that items equipped by mechs can't be stripped or dissembled, tried w/ Dead man's switch and milira. No errors were thrown during right-click or dissembling actions, and dissemble action returns no loot from them.

Could somehow resolve the issue through turning “outsider drop inventory and equipment” but that also applies to humanlike pawns(which I don't wish to turned on). Would be better if there're options that affect mechs only or apply strip to them if possible

Also vanilla mech w/ CE works fine so no need to check for that
