The devs just issued a patch, and one of the things they repaired was a bug with map themes. Perhaps there is a theme-related mod that now needs to be updated. If having the local theme doesn't work either, then unsub from any mod related to map themes, totally restart Steam and try again. If it works then, you know one of those mods now has to be updated because of the patch. Let me know if this happens to you so I can report it.

Hi Himmelslinien. That's bizarre! It just downloaded for me. Yes, you do need this as your base map theme if you want the names to appear.

To make sure you can use it, here is the original file which you will place locally (and also you can do what you want with the theme to make it your own). This should be foolproof (fingers crossed). Unsubscribe from this Workshop version of the theme.

I would like to use this theme on your Fjordland map. I've subscribed to it, but I can't choose it. Not even with (temperate) savegames. It is also not in the content folder (1774582619=no matches). I have unsubscribed and resubscribed again. Restart the game. But nothing changes. Now I ask myself, do I need a mod for the individual names? Or do I have to download the textures separately? Thank you! 🖖

Hi fun.baker, unfortunately no. Rather than being able to import a list, the vanilla naming system requires you to enter each and every name individually (also for each level of the same building lol), so it would require going in and manually deleting each single entry. Needless to say, I'm never making another theme with custom names.
Try out using TPB's Theme Mixer mod. Pick another map theme as your base theme, and then add in textures from this map theme. Wild guess, but maybe the base theme will determine naming (ie default naming) as it does the other settings that can't be changed in Theme Mixer. Just might work.

Is there a version without the name list? Not that i dont want to appreciate anyones work, but it looks like they are causing some breakage with the german namelist mod.

That's a known little glitch in the game, PuRu, but not to worry, it's harmless. Click on another map or save game on the list, then click again on Fjordland or your city to load, and this theme will appear this time.

Huh, I can't choose this map theme from a list for Fjordland map (Mass Transit). It says 'none'.

Hi Sir SheikhsPears! Thanks for your kind words and helpful suggestions! I would have used oil, actually, were this to remain purely an Alps theme. It's intended for a redux of my map Fjordland. Given that there is/was a lot of oil offshore (since Industries we have to put resources offshore), it didn't make sense to have bright white resources on the ground. Ore would be inconceivable (insert Princess Bride meme). So I went with sand. What you *can* do is use Theme Mixer mod and use this as the base mod, swap this theme's sand as snow texture for another theme's sand, and the oil here for Alps European's oil as snow. There is at least one other that uses oil as snow. Just be careful how many themes you add if your RAM is nearing the limit

However, it would be great if you would keep the Oil Texture for snow, while for the Falling
Leaves devote Sand Texture.
First of all, it's more intuitive for Map Creators who have used the European version, use Oil for snow.
Second - and more importantly: both Themes would be compatible with each other.
I'm also curious about how my European map would look like in the Temperate version :D

But cool - these are just my suggestions ;)
