The Bismarck Class was built as a pocket battleship (eg. battlecruiser) and was designed to take a massive amount of damage before being rendered inoperable. It's only from extensive combat testing pre-release of the ship I found and fixed many of the flaws I often complain about on other ships, and extensive continued destructive testing by Cheerkin that pushed me to improve the ship to the point that it's currently at.
I'm of the firm opinion that a fighting ship needs to be able to fight and survive. It's what drives my designing and testing.
Before finding this, I thought the Beowulf was the coolest battleship on the workshop, but I guess I was wrong. Even if this isn't strictly classified as a battleship, it might as well be one.
This thing must be very under-rated for what it is.
