sucks cause this is literally one of my favorite mods, Space Engineers pretty much unplayable without it for me.

Hey-o, I just installed this, and I'm noticing the hydrogen engines take a minute to get fuel before they actually come on, is this intentional?

Question. If another mod affects the vanilla thruster's output (multiplicatively, like x1.5), does this stack with that other buff or override it? I'm guessing it depends on how the other mod's code works, but maybe there's a definite answer.

@AViegarien Just wanted to say thank you for this mod and the time you took to build it. I absolutely love it. In ever game a create I strive to get to this tier and install these thrusters. Love, love, love how I can upgrade them.

I did find one issue though. PAM does not like them...at all. They cause some sort of hickup trying to align the ship with the first path. Keeps firing the thrusters full on over and over jolting the ship up and up then sinks way down and repeats. I did a bunch of testing. I think it's due to not being able to adjust the thrust power maybe? I see the thrusters fire full on when PAM takes over.

Regardless, I love the look of these thrusters and will always use them. Thank you!!!

I really like this mod, but the particle effects for the large hydro and small and large Ion thrusters are a bit wonky. The Hydro has a shadow on the particle effect at close view points and the and the Ion thrusters particle effect dissappear at long distance. Its picky I know but it is what it is.

Where exactly is the Config file for this? I was wanting to test a few of the values, but after scouring my save file directory I'm not finding a file for this. In-game, it can't find the file, either, and says it's just using the defaults.

I just start typing "upgrade" and they are pretty much the only thing in the list as soon as I get to g. Muscle memory remembers which size is which, it ain't that bad

These are my favorite thrusters, wish they had thrust reversers (:

Is it something my end or does the upgradable ion thrusters (only tested large grid) turn black when you zoom out, like it has no Lod texture? I have some next to regular ion thrusters and its a bit night and day. Could be something I've done / not done my end.

The Upgradable Hydrogens don't seem to have this issue.

I use search a lot. And with the large thrusters you can do "large upgrade" and get just them, but can't with the normal ones. Can we get a word in them that would set them apart? small? normal?

Honestly, I only put in checks for lower limits in the config file since I was more worried about negative numbers. So lets just say try large numbers at your own risk. I've only tested with numbers at and below 16x.

I started a dedicated server for friends and wanted to make changes to this using the config file that generates. The problem is, not sure if the changes I make in the server file will push out to the player files, or if I have to make a "fork" of this mod with the changed values that everyone will need to re-download?

I do have plans for some more futuristic style thrusters, at the moment they are just sketches. I don't have a timeline or anything, right now I'm working on updates to a couple other mods.

Not sure why but when i log in to my game all my upgraded thrusters are invisible, i can see only the fire, and when i remove them and add again the bug is gone. Otherwise they are working fine so its just visual bug. (playing single player creative)

The only issues that I've seen were due to bad/failed downloads from the workshop. I've been able to local host and run a dedicated server and have clients connect. If you are having issues first try deleting the mod folder and let steam re-download it.

@Atomic Dash: I've noticed that too. In the few times I've tried to build them in survival without unlocking the progression it wouldn't let me. But I'll see if there's something that changed that would cause that.

I think settings in multiplayer have been sorted. Plus I've added more settings so you can customize each tier's thrust and power. I did notice that if you use a mod that gives you info in the terminal it'll still say the base, but the settings should still apply correctly.

Yes, i uninstalled the mod removed all old remaining folders including "settings" and then re installed the mod updated settings and restarted the server twice lol.

Ok, I figured out what I did wrong (a relic of the old way I loaded settings that I forgot to change). Settings should apply properly to existing thrusters.

So, Someone else asked and i was also looking for an answer. for survival x8 and x16 is overkill.
can we adjust the thrust multiplier in the instance>saves>"server">Storage ? ive adjusted to .3 and .2 and nothing changed. thanks!

that's odd, they shouldn't be red/green, they should be the blue in both states. It uses Keen's block emmisvie stuff so it shouldn't be anything with script settings. I'll see if I can reproduce it.

OK, first off let me say that I love(loved) this mod and truely appreciate keeping it updated. However this new update is causing me heartache that perhaps are due to my settings or I am missing something. I have a massive ship I have been working on that uses 4 very large VTOL engines with 2 of these large ION thrusters per VTOL. Now with the update they have giant Red or Green bullseye lights on them on/off which is destoying the asthetics of my entire design. Please tell me this is an oversight or a setting I am missing here.

Update - Thruster Model Overhaul: Every thruster model has been updated. Some received a complete redo (Large Atmo), some just got small changes (Small Ion). All models should now properly use the skinning system. Ions now dim when turned off and go dark when damaged.

Script Updates: The settings file should now load when the game loads instead of when a thruster is loaded and now only notify you if there is an issue with the config file (now in the chat box instead of a HUD warning). Due to changes I needed to make in the file structure, the folder where the config file is different, so you will most likely get a "Config file not found" message on first load if you use custom multipliers you will have to edit the config file again. Sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

First of all this mod is awesome and i use it on every world thanks for this mod. My problem is when i activate autopilot if i didn't use the grid manually before turning autopilot on, thrust override doesn't seem to work. I don't know if its about ownership of block or something. Sorry for my bad English.

it gives an error of file not found using default settings , but all the blocks are already unlocked in the g menu , is it suppose to be like that >? and later the error does not show up in the f11 menu either .

@Terminator I believe that the reason for that the more components that a block has the more HP it has so I believe that is why the mod developer decided to leave the components mostly the same. The only other way I can see to solve this problem is to create an entirely new component that need be used to create thee new blocks.

Silly Question: If I set the Thrustmultiplier to 0.125 that should make the upgrade 1.25,1.5,1.75,2
right?
