@Mr. Huey Long 22 For now the mod seem have problems with the map in the present version of the kaiserreich mod and i assume that it will take some time to fix. However, i am sure that a update well come, although i am not the developer or in contact with him, but historically speaking updates have been made in due time so i would keep my hop's up :D

3. The building slots did disappear! And I totally didn't notice. The capitol too. This is due to the changing of conventions in the file, where, for example, the state Latium went from the old format "city" to the new format, a simple number.

4. I have re-added the Kingdom to the Entente. Its removal was actually an oversight on my part - as a part of an update I was working on long ago, involving the Kingdom no longer being part of the Entente at the start, to compensate for the TI not being part of the Commune, but Italy being allowed to join down the road. This was to try to level out what the devs have been working on and to help limit the Entente and Germany from outright curbstomping the TI. I will likely readdress this later when I am not as busy.

The bugs mentioned have been fixed with some caveats. I'll explain those below with explanations of why the bugs were happening and HOW I fixed them, for the curious.

1. Event conflicts appear to have been caused by Paradox moving the events folder to the main directory rather than the common/ sub-directory. Therefore, KR's events were overwriting mine.

2. Rather than manually changing the colorization of the Country every update I've opted to utilize the cosmetic tag for Sardinia turning it into the Kingdom of Italy. It is now the shade of green used by that cosmetic tag. But it should solve that issue.

has far as I have tested the following bugs are pressed, to my knowledge the elections do not work, and the election event does appear. The color of Italy is still the SRD color, an old event form SRD still appears after "an uneasy peace", the "Industrialize the mezzogiorno" focus event are invaded, Italy is no longer member of the entente, Vittorio Emmanuel is called Vittorio Emmanuel II in game and not Vittorio Emmanuel III.

I have done some playtesting and the mod seems to still be working. HOWEVER I cannot promise that it is balanced in the current version of the mod, as the KR team has been working hard on adding new content. This mod will see the SRI join the TI immediately, for example, which was changed in KR recently so that they weren't. I have not had as much time to delve deeper into balancing. I also cannot promise this mod will be compatible with other major submods that have developed since the last update, and I doubt it would be compatible with mods like Ride the Tiger, KRX, or The Empire Strikes back.

If you do receive any bugs, post them here and I'll attempt to address them whenever I have time again.

Minor update. Did some small changes to Vittorio's portrait and did another test with the new spirits - To remove the Losers of the Weltkrieg spirit you will now need to go down one of the army trees to the bottom. In addition, the Kingdom can now be accused of aiding the Sanfedisti and triggering an earlier Risorgimentio - in this case, it may be advantageous for the SRI to declare war as soon as possible.

@Enriador: The Papal States are not independent. The screenshot above is outdated at the moment.

The Italian Republic exists more as a group of Republicans who did not agree with the Syndicalists. They fortified the Po Line and sought help from Austria. Austria agreed for the sake of keeping a buffer state. The Republic can be convinced to rejoin the Kingdom via plebiscite.

Lore questions:

1) How the Italian Republic came into being?

2) Why are the Papal States independent? Shouldn't it be part of the new Kingdom of Italy? The Savoyards conquered Rome as soon as they could in 1870, why would they leave their capital in Papal hands? Especially since, according to the new lore, "Italians never accept a treaty that breaks them up" so the Papal States wouldn't exist.

Updated the mod so it should now be completely compatible with the newest version of KR. Included:
Updated the Generals and their portraits to match KR
Updated the localisation - countries with no names should no longer be an issue
Updated the list of companies by incorporating the Sicilians

Added a handful of events for the Mafia and Destroying Democracy chains. These are subject to change in the future and are also subject to some randomization. You may get the same event more than once - as designed.

Added two new Ideas for Italy at the start - this is an attempt to make the Kingdom of Italy a bit weaker at the beginning. Expect to see some changes to these going forward. For now they are both fairly easy to get rid of.

Gave names to the Italian infantry equipment in the tech tree

@CapitalistStalin - That would be mostly due to the updated tag lists. I am currently fixing broken tags for the next update.

@76561198009314671 - I have been mostly focused on scripting the focus tree and events over flavor in the tech tree. Expect flavor to be added in the future.

Why the tech tree,why is generic and not italian ?.
The only named rifles are the lvl1 Carcano and a lvl2 Ontario Lee Enfield.

@deathoclock I appreciate the notes! I thought i had squashed all the minister bugs but i guess i missed that. As for the focus showing an increase of authoritarian dem popularity it may be that I set the focus to increase the popularity of the ruling party. So if your ruling party is authdem while looking at it it will show that it will increase authdem. If you look at it with soccon it will show that it increases soccon pop and so on.

There seems to be a bug that makes the death of the pope event fire more than once. Maybe you forgot to add "fire_only_once = yes" to the line of code in the event.

@Entity_000: As far as I have played, yes. You can use the custom paths submod to influence the Italian and Social Republic's elections. However, if any paths are added regarding SRD, SIC, or the PAP states they won't work.

I suggest to change the name of the focus "Expand the University of Caligari" in "Expand the University of Cagliari" (as it was probably supposed to be I guess) and the relative description. Maybe you could add an event that may fire if Vittorio Emanuele III decide to repress the dissent which bring to a popular revolt (lead by the liberals), the house of Savoy escape to Sardinia and the Kingdom of Two Sicilies is formed bringing to the starting Kaiserreich. Is it possible to change the colour to the Italian Kingdom one (when you play Sardinia and recreate Italy).

idk if this is too big of a change but I think a reasonable way of making SRI less of a weakling would be to give them Milan with Venice replacing the italian republic as Austria's Stake in Italy.
