@Nuc1earNugget - What book? Do you mean from the additional helper mod, "Furry Tails Adventurer's Guide"?
@Solitude - Absolutely, thank you for your support and interest in the mod.
1. The blanket is in the vicinity of Sahelia's Cave.
2. The blanket is in the area with the frog encounter in Sahelia's Cave.
3. The blanket is in Mody's Fort, which is in the area with the frog encounter in Shaelia's Cave. Look for the ladder up to a platform that requires a jump or teleport to get up there.
Google seems to suggest maybe I'm somehow the only person on Earth looking for this—seems inconceivable; maybe I'm weirder/more creative than I thought?—but what about introducing Birdie to Buddy? I get why the base game doesn't let you "save" Emmie—that she's meant to be too far gone to go back. I also get why everyone finds that such an unsatisfying conclusion to such a gut-wrenching quest—no closure, no one moves on. It's reasonable to break our hearts about Emmie, but it's not so reasonable to just leave us heartbroken with no light at the end of the tunnel the way the base game does. But it seems like there's an obvious solution staring us in the face that addresses both the original design and people's dissatisfaction.
Why not introduce Birdie to Buddy? I feel like Buddy and Birdie are perfectly set up to be mates. Buddy is older, maybe wiser, but still kind and overflowing with love that really, desperately needs an outlet. And Birdie really needs someone to love him and be patient with him. Having them become mates would give you the much needed closure on both of these quests. You'd know Birdie has someone to look after him and help him get back on track, and you'd know Buddy isn't alone anymore.
Anyway, I intend to try this mod for my next playthrough, as it seems to be widely acknowledged as the go-to solution for this quest. I just thought I'd toss in my two bits here since it seems like every discussion about this quest anywhere on the interwebs inevitably ends up pointing to this mod.
I understand sometimes like in real life is not possible but that u usually never have a good option about it here for animals it seems, just makes me sad...but thx to your work,I was a lot happier! so thanks a lot for the work you guys put into this, I tried to understand how this works but didnt get anywhere in my learning, tried something simple like adding an new npc copy from a existing model, but neither the model or the dialogue worked :D :)
I dicided to make a new run with a few extra mods like bringing more than 4 party members thou now so I will use your mod with the new run so super thankful for your work on this really! :)
@ mattcat83 - I'm sure it's possible for the NPCs at least. Since there are some "larger party" mods around, the companions can apparently be kept around too, but I imagine it would be a nightmare to keep track of who might be present for what conversation at any given point in the game. Dialogue trees and flags would probably explode (and so would the writers' brains, possibly. The conversation editor is a beast.) However, we both have full-time day jobs and thus sadly don't have time for an endeavour like that.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this, mends the hole in my heart. <3
One flaw I've seen discussed online but have found bothersome myself is the needlessly casual death of the Seekers following the end of Act 1. Could there be a similar mod that would not only allow for the NPC Seekers at least (if not the other Origins characters) to survive that fight well into later Acts if only one were to keep them alive?
If i had any complaints, it's that the final part can be a bit tricky to figure out with no real reason to do it that way. If just a hint on where to look was placed in the kennel master diary, something pointing a player toward the marshes source puddles, AND knowing to throw that honey bone into the source puddles would have saved a bit of time and legwork.
Left that spoiler there for anybody who might rum into the same issue.
Even at that, still a mod that is all heart and soul. I will subscribe to anything either of you make. Simple and superb Windemere and Nimue!
@gurugeorge - Thank you! Seeing people still playing and enjoying our little labour of love makes us very happy :-)
