Clear your mod cache. I'll look at it, but if it's genuinely broken I can't fix it. I'm not a real modder. I just edited text-based configuration files to fix the transparency.

I'll look into it. May turn the visibility up one notch.

Regarding the lights, I don't know. I'm not the original author; I just tweaked the transparency. I do recall Shaostoul saying they were based on lights, though.

As for the transparency, both sides are equally transparent, but if one side is brighter than the other (such as in direct sunlight) it's going to be harder to see them. I tried to strike a balance where you could still see them but it wouldn't be too much, and I think I succeeded. One notch brighter is a bit too much, in my testing. The adjustment is VERY sensitive.

I seem to recall when these forcefields were originally introduced, the UI in the control panel had color adjustment options. They never worked of course (likely they were based on some variant of the interior light block I imagine). But I'm wondering if after all this time it's finally an option?

Additionally, it appears that maybe one side is more transparent than the other? I had trouble seeing the blue screen while placing blocks like the filler ones. It was soo transparent that I couldn't see what I was doing with the blocks that have no frames.

To give you an idea how much the transparency had to be adjusted, opacity was set to .2 originally. In order to get it to look good again, I had to set it to .003, or a 98.5% reduction. The gamma also had to be slightly tweaked, although that was a comparatively minor change. Just shows you how much the game's lighting engine has changed.

Thank you for doing this.

Sorry, that should not sound rude, but i thought "drop-in replacement" is a more as clear statement that it replace the old mod.

Hint: it is no problem to test it, so long you didn't save the map you don't lost anything.

@legotaz, sorry for the previous commenter's rudeness. You're supposed completely replace the old mod with this one. All your previously built Force Field blocks will be safe.

i read the description that's why i asked. you never said to remove or keep the original, but thanks for the help....... kinda

Read the description, than you don't need to ask: "It is a drop-in replacement for the existing mod." ;)

quick question does this require the original mod or is it stand alone? cheers :)
