I'm assuming you're referring to the "Spectral" status. I've been seeking answers for that issue for a while now. It seems to happen randomly which doesn't make it any better. Hopefully someone will answer our plea for help.

But yes, it's a very silly instability. If I were to design this mod now I probably would not design a penalty system that lets you instantly kill anybody you like (even if you lose a party member in the process).

Infernal instability is bar-none the least fun thing in the entire mod. Entirely game-breaking as well. Literally why.

Using the extend spell and then using a different spell like warfare doesn't end up killing my character. Seems to be not like it was supposed to be.

Is there a way to:
1) check what values are currently saved by each skill?
2) clear an in progress spell?

Uncleared old spell data is my number one source of instabilities.
A simple UI element telling me what I have saved could point me towards a safe spell to clean it up.

There was a spell that should let you derive multiple sources. You can use it and mark multiple characters to compose and teleport them all into one designated area.

I was just curious I have been playing around with things, and figured I would ask as im unable to figure this out after a few hours, is it possible to have a creature cast multiple of the same spell on the same turn, or would that be something that would be done by getting them to cast 1 spell a few times once each turn over a few turns

Honestly, I've been subbed to this mod for a while, but I've never used it much until a few weeks ago. Ever since then, I've had to fight the urge to include Metasourcery in every build I make. This mod is really something, and if this is what coding feels like, I might have to get into it.

The combo goes like this: Siphon knowledge > derive > designate a guy > innovate > designate some more > compose. In combat, when it gets to the skill rememberence thingy, it only does the startup animation of the skill then the derived person turn to the next designated guy only to do the startup animation again. When outside of combat tho, it works, why

Copying and transfering status is basicly one and the same here. you don't ever remove a status from someone. So, Aflictology>Enumerate>designate should work just fine.

Could you make animations slightly faster? It becomes very tedious to see all this moves thousand times for simple teleportation

@Igrener I tried to change this in my mega-edit of this amazing mod. It is called Mad Metasourcery on Steam Workshop. The starting spells now allow you to drain HP, weaponize surfaces directly and create a Nexus Entity (that can redirect any damage/statuses dealt to it around itself and if teleported with Derive Designate Compose, teleports everything around with itself. Mark is no longer a skill (Auto-Cast during Derive/Designate now) and almost every cast is instant, no need to wait. Etc., etc., etc.

My personal thought about this modification is it's very interesting in concept, but in practice its power spikes are very disjointed and extreme; such that, based on my understanding of the guide posted (rather than practice), it's extraordinarily weak until Level 4, then becomes very good, then immediately breaks massively when you hit Act 2 because of the existence of Lava and Super Charger, then sort of falls off in Act 4 when there isn't easily accessible Lava.

Outside the presence of Lava and Super Charger, you're essentially mass buffing, and you can probably abuse Enumerate with enough coins/objects which is fine. My only real complaint (minus the asymptotic power spikes), is the inability to basically "macro" something so you don't waste so much time on animations.

Temperos shows up if you interact with the Metasourcerer's stone, which you can find in numerous locations around the game. In Fort Joy, you can find one on the beach. Just look for an ominous pink miasma under some of the plants. Alternatively, you can pick up one such stone in Withermoore's section of the caves.

Temporos only shows up if you mess up with the metamagic. (Ie if you clone something) and only shows up the one time.

Just cause I feel like it might be nice. I found a stone in the tent with the diseased woman in Fort Joy. There was another in Meistr Siva's house in Driftwood. I've seen a few more but I forgot to note them. There were at least three in Fort Joy. (meaning I found three and had them on me when I left the fort)

I do not. I just vaugly remember one or 2 being in driftwood. It sadly doesnt pop up on the item things (holding alt) so you just gotta look for a pink rock.

There are jewels thoughout the game. The easiest one i know of in act 2 is in the town of driftwood near the bulls if I recall correctly.

Hi, if I don't pick up the jewel in act 1 does it reapper somewhere in Reaper's coast? I want to respec my char to your class but I don't know if it's worth the hassle.

When you pick up the stone, you should automaticly learn the skills into your skill book, however you cant use them unless you meet the polymorph and summoning requirments.
if that doesnt happen, its probably due to other mods as i've never had this issue even with many mods on.

Hey, I have been playing around with this mod for a while. I must say that I love it, the concept is really interesting.

Wanted to let you know that I found a bug that crashes the game. When you Siphon Knowledge a spell, Designate a target, Delegate the spell to someone else and THEN Compose (for whatever reason, I was just testing it), it just stops the game, everything crashes.

But beside that, lots of fun! I will quote one of my friends : "I just watch the chaos unfold before my eyes".

hey kalavinka. this mod is my most loved class mod of all time. There is only one thing wich could be improved in my opinion. Could you change the spells to have no cast time ? like the switch stance skill. This would improve qol especially outside of combat. because for spells outside of combat you usually need four actions, three of these have a cast time wich slows down the pace of the game quite a bit if you do this everytime you want to teleport sth, put something in your inventory etc.

I actually made sure to double check those but in the end, I couldn't get it to work. I thought it was some mod compatibility issues since I had some other class mods on but in the end, it doesn't seem to have changed anything. I ended up fixing the issue by straight up deleting the profile and the save game, making another profile with all the same mods on and for some reason, it works perfectly fine in the new save. Thanks for the reply though and the mod itself is real interesting.

Have you disabled adding skills to hotbar and removing existing skills?

Because the stance switch is actually two skills that remove themselves and add the other when cast.

I'm not sure if I'm wrong or not but am I'm suppose to be able to switch freely between designate/derive state? I start off deriving and I can switch to designate stance, but I can't switch back to derive stance. The only way I have found is to compose and when the cool down for it is over, I can finally switch back. It's true both ways. Basically, I can only switch my stance once and it won't let me switch anymore. I have to compose before it resets.

Heyo, one of my friends in my party uses this mod and we've found the Extend Incantation doesn't kill you when you use a non Metasourcery spell. Any idea if this bug could be fixed, it'd be quite funny for him find out he suddenly explodes one day. :P

Just bear in mind the creator of that video doesn't demonstrate the mod's skills very well at all. I suggest just watching up until the Metasourcerer's stone show (less than 1 minute in) and then leaving it to go experiment yourself.

If you still can't find it, make sure the mod hasn't unchecked itself in the mod list or something.

They're mostly hidden for flavour as they're intended to be quite easy to find. I had a whole story written about Temperos that I never fully implemented, but you can still piece it together through certain context clues.

Also, why hide them in the first place? Are the stones different? Everything about this mod is vague.

Don't worry friend, one of the stones is shown in the screenshots.

Also, there are some hints in the mod description, such as "To begin playing, pick up a Metasourcerer's stone from one of various locations hidden in Rivellon, including Fort Joy's beach."

But if you want more specifics, here are some locations I remember:

- Fort Joy beach near the waypoint, under some plants
- Withermoore's cave
- Reaper's Coast beach

I've forgotten the rest but if I recall correctly there are four in Fort Joy, four in the Hollow Marshes, and a number around the other zones in the game that I don't remember.

Would be nice if you actually told us where you can find the meta-stones. I barely know what your mod does, and I don't know where the stones are or what they look like.

Dunno if it's a modded spell, but I have an expensive source spell which summons 6 skeletons wherever I like. If I group them close together, they fit inside both delegate and enumerate circles. So enumerate+designate+delegate and voila, I now have an army of 36 skeletons. I love this mod

Just as a heads up theres a glitch where your character becomes immortal if they die while the clones are up.
apparently, when using the spell to give you more AP, if your compose casts a non-meta spell, it considers that as you casting it and kills you. 10/10, would rip my soul from reality again.
