Could you please make the AI of African nations never take the focuses to break free? It's just so annoying playing as France or Italy and wanting to release some of your holdings to focus on other stuff and they suddenly break away.

it is possible to make a focus tree for every releasable nation, it just takes along time to do so. I don't know how to mod but I can learn and I would be more than willing to try.

By the way, could you make the ideology drift spirits temporary? Paradox has done this with most vanilla ones, as it's annoying to have countries (especially when puppets) eternally drifting to a single ideology

This mod is great and something Paradox should be doing to make the rest of the world a little more influential in the game, another thing would be giving countries in these regions the historical claims they had, but never pursued would make playing as them even more interesting. Brazil having a claim in Portugal and vice versa would be a good and obvious start, same with Haiti and the DR having a claim on each other, same with Chile + Bolivia + Peru and the Turks on nortern Iraq and western Iran.

I'm personally quite a big fan of the middle eastern focus tree design, think it's my favourite of the bunch, though I will say the lack of a communist path is a bit sad. Perhaps a choice between empowering the dynasty and empowering the people after closing the international market?

@Jlittion83 Focus trees are the primary way that the game is kept remotely historical. I can already as the game is now playing as Germany start justifying a war goal on Poland as soon as I start a game in 1936 and nobody will do anything at all. I can even justify on Belgium and France and if I time it right with world tension, Britain won't do a thing. You can conquer Austria as Italy in 1936 and nobody will do anything. Now, the player can do that because we can game the game in ways the developers didn't intend. Do you really want the AI to do that? Do you want there to be a random chance that Italy invades Austria? From a game perspective, focus trees are also just a lot of fun and there's not a whole lot left without them.
