Does this mod fix the issue of oversized planet images appearing in system view, obscuring other planets when they orbit behind the image?

Ditto to what L1V1NGC0DE said. Even with the FU official patch you still might have the issue with zooming out, so grab this one too.
L1V1NGC0DE Jul 14, 2021 @ 7:55pm
FYI Even if you have the "Frackin Universe: More Planet Info Official Patch" you should still download this mod because the issue is not fixed by the official patch.

Taken from Frackin Universe wiki:
More Planet Info (requires this patch - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2141522956 ) so this one is not the one, refer to the Frackin Universe wiki, Recommened mods tab

so this mod does not work anymore?
Radiant Phoenix Aug 12, 2020 @ 6:50pm
BUG: this mod uses "celestial.flyShip" instead of the "flyShip" wrapper from FU's cockpit.lua, which breaks shipboard atmospheric condensers by failing to set "ship.celestial_type"

yay
Axorius Oct 11, 2019 @ 6:23pm
thank you for the reply
Alb  [author] Oct 10, 2019 @ 5:43pm
This mod only slightly changes one file (injections.lua) from the more planet info mod.

That's not where race stuff is handled. I'm sorry, but I think the avali issue is being caused by something else.
Axorius Oct 9, 2019 @ 10:53am
i cant find any with this mod unless it's one I've already visited
Axorius Oct 9, 2019 @ 10:52am

So I'm just popping in to say that this mod is still current and up to date. I just checked and all is good.
Gamer Cat Jun 21, 2019 @ 6:22pm
Does this work with FU and 1.4?
Arthas Mitsurugi May 9, 2019 @ 4:39pm
The zoom-out feature still doesn't work for me.
Leaf Apr 28, 2019 @ 2:07pm
thank you, the whole zooming out thing while I was trying to select a planet was driving me insane.
warmainiac Mar 1, 2019 @ 1:15pm
the zoom out thing (as stated by your frackin universe statement) seems to be also in play with extended story
Alb  [author] Feb 24, 2019 @ 6:32pm
It is still working perfectly fine on my end.

I'm fairly certain that you guys are running another mod that does stuff in the nav-map that's causing conflicts. Yall need to do your homework and check and clean your mod lists.
sleepyhead Feb 24, 2019 @ 6:30am
surface analysis is still broken, fyi

uninstalling your mod fixes it
Wolfys Feb 24, 2019 @ 2:42am
thank you

thank you

So I just tested this and everything is working fine. Also, from what I've gathered, FU wasn't even responsible. It was another unknown mod that was F-ing with MPI. And now it was probably updated because there's no longer an issue (none that I've seen anyway).

So, everything is working as it should. Move along.
[NewNet]*Akiyama Feb 16, 2019 @ 10:51am
Its brocken since the last FU Update. Surface analysis is empty every time. Removing this patch and More Planet Info is working correctly.
💖 Officer Hotpants 💖 Feb 10, 2019 @ 9:40pm
I didn't realize FU was responsible. Then again, I forgot that MPI was a mod and not vanilla functionality.
cjuicy Feb 7, 2019 @ 3:51pm
Yay, quality of life adjustments. Can never get enough of these.
Alb  [author] Feb 6, 2019 @ 10:10pm
It's a mod incompatibility on your end. The mod works fine.
DarkArtistryNKP Feb 6, 2019 @ 10:04pm
unfortunately it seems to be crashing my game.

Hilytios Feb 1, 2019 @ 5:51am
Finally. I dont have to wait until its clickable :D
Rtma Eros Paragon Feb 1, 2019 @ 2:23am
Well, before this, you can just travel to it and go View Ship around the planet that is in the zoom zone, it's most noticable with landable Gas Giants where the planets are further out, and select that way but this would be more intuitive.
Kurohame Feb 1, 2019 @ 12:55am
aye great patch~ :cozyroe3:
Alb  [author] Jan 31, 2019 @ 9:34pm
Just a few days ago, I've had several planets where there was "literally no chance of clicking on them."

You got lucky I guess.
Darkmega Jan 31, 2019 @ 7:47pm
I've seen people in videos with this issues and I definitely know of it, I must've just gotten very lucky to have planets that are at the very least barely clickable. but I do realize the sheer frustration a bug like this would cause when I come across them temporarily. although it makes me think the issue has been atleast partially mitigated as FU etc progressed, cause the videos I saw there would be literally no chance of clicking on them.
Gatorade Raccoon Jan 31, 2019 @ 4:30pm
you, my friend, are a god.

FINNALY MY MOST FAVORITE MOD HAS ARRIVED
widepeepoHappy Jan 31, 2019 @ 3:53pm
thx mate
Alb  [author] Jan 31, 2019 @ 3:27pm
Yeah, technically this mod is just changing a couple values from the MPI mod and can be loaded without Frackin universe. The values are based on FU's chosen values though.

I originally wanted to just make a mod that REMOVES the zoomout from edge, and just rely completely on the button, which is very easy to do. But I found out what was going on, and decided to match the values instead. I may make another mod that just effectively removes the edge-zoomout, if people want.

@sleep,
I don't think it's client-side, as it is lua "injection" code going into the cockpit.lua. So yeah, definately probably not.
widepeepoHappy Jan 31, 2019 @ 11:18am
client side ?
