why the hell did you fill the walls wiht spikes?! thos blocks have 90 HP less than the full block

Thanks Nexus! You will notice that anything decent sized back in the day before there was a new fly model and CPU (Alpha 9-10 range) it was required to have RCS to turn at all. A larger creation required a ton of them. This was the only way to do it. After newer versions of the game they added fly model and CPU. This one as well as some larger old SV's all have a ton of RCS. So much has changed now, but this is a pretty old creation built in a different time. Nothing like needing add 284 RCS to get it to move alright. lol. I don't miss it. And thanks again!

with 284 RCS... this feels more like a troll build than anything.. i do enjoy your other builds but this one has me gritting my teeth trying to find all the scattered RCS to make this thing functional. all of them are taking up 85k cpu. even after adding T4 cpu its still more than double its capacity.. i understand its an older version (now) but no builds should ever need 284 RCS... definitely feels intentional

They are all completely redesigned and meet the modern realities of the game. Completely redesigned inside and partially outside ( but the appearance is immediately guessed). CPUs in all ships are made. Removed unnecessary elements like rocket thrust controls and some other elements. Put shields, (where possible). Everything is in accordance with the latest version of the game. It's not just external changes.

Hi. Yes, all the work to improve the ships (mostly old models, where there is no compatibility with the CPU) is carried out on the current version of the game. And of course, the work that I do, I want you to post on your page, the site on which I make a redesign of the design. Thanks. And so it is with all ships. I try to make them as detailed as possible, so it can take a long time. Thank you for your ships, you set the trend for how ships should look in General in the game.

Thanks DaelaamCrafter. This creation was made in Alpha 9 I believe, before CPU. The problem being is this is just too big to be CPU compliant and still move decently. So, basically it is out of date and if you CPU in game, really will not work anymore. Without gutting this badly, I just can do anything with it. :( Thanks again!

@Zyboticus, yes. If not using CPU or size class restrictions, you could make it whatever size you want and use as many thrusters etc as needed. :) Thanks again!

Thank you Tarsis! I don't think the game with the CPU would allow any HV this big to function any more. However since the Ballista was made trying to stay under 70000 CPU which was the T4 limit at the time, I can now build a larger hopefully more armored and quicker version of it. I do have plans to build a new tank pretty soon. However I am pretty sure it still can't be near as big as this one again due to CPU. It is the same reason I haven't even tried to update this to newer alpha versions. Maybe it is possible??? But I doubt it would move nicely. Thanks again all!

I would need to make so many cuts it would be a shell of what it once was if I were to update it. I even tried a bit with the Deimos tank which is smaller and still had CPU issues. Thanks again all!

@The Cyan Dragon; The amount of CPU required by this design is 288,362 (!), Well above the CPU limit introduced in A11, which is 70,000.
I don't think it is possible to update this design to version A11.
Other beautiful designs from Jrandal and Xcalibur have the same problem, CPUs well above 70,000.
It is not the fault of the designers, after all this CPU limit has only recently entered.

Well, I honestly didn't think it would fit (and I'm technically right, though it DOES fit... just). I plopped the Waypoint on a planet with lots of wood, and level 10 POIs, so was going to use that place to build and test some HV concepts, but thought... I've got this Gigantic thing in the Perses... let's try... yeah... don't ;-). Nothing negative about the base or the HV, just, they don't quite fit together ;-). Honestly, something like the Gigantes belongs on a CV, anyway, to be dropped in the most dangerous and interesting locations to wreak havoc.

Oh, btw, I tried parking this in the Waypoint Compound... lol... So, it "fits" but can't turn around, and it "just" fits, so backing out took a lot of trial and error. Had to get out of the ship, check alignment, get back in. And if a vessel is in the same space as the door, it breaks the signal logic, so to keep the door open, I had to disengage it from the sensor to force it open to exit ;-). Hehehe. Sigh. This is a wonderful beast, but will live in the Perses for now.

OMG, dude... seriously... I think you managed an HV even the Perses has trouble with. Had to park it on the side of the larger area of the hangar. Thought the side hangars were mostly for HV, but it won't fit there ;-). Hehehe. It's brilliant. Just brilliant. I added a shield on the upper deck in back, but not really sure one would be needed as long as you pilot from the lower seat. It's like a mobile base that blows things up along the way. And kinda handy for choppin' logs, too.

WOW... This MFB is a beast. When my friend built it i thought it stood for Massive F***ing Behemoth. With systems active this thing is impressive in its speed, maneuverability and firepower. The "Mobile Mode" was a nice touch making the static design clean. The interior design has a large open layout and has plenty of room for additional "toys'(shield generator). Thanks for the great design and keep up the good work.

@Skullkrusher1990, also on the pretty old Gigacore-EX2, try turning on the "Thruster/RCS" switch in the bridge. I will admit, I should have kept that on by default. I do need to take a look at when I get some time and maybe update the blueprint. Thanks

@Skullkrusher1990, I seriously have NO idea what you are even talking about. There is nothing wrong with this large class 5 max weapon and turret tank. It moves just find especially for something so large. Are you sure your game is not messed up? I just spawned thinking there was a problem with RCS or something not on with patches. That was not the case and it went around just fine. Keep in mind it has 284 RCS and over 100 thrusters, the largest available when it was made. To many guns? Seriously for a tank? And no, it has no power problems either. Not even close. You don't need more engines. You either don't understand the game or just simply make up fake stories. Either way, I appreciate constructive criticism, but there is nothing constructive about what you are saying. This is plain a simply the largest HV I made to date and it is expensive but also very tough, roomy, and powerful with a ton of survival features - Pre alpha 10 however.

Hello jrandall.

Just to say, like with this Gigacore...
This Tank will not turn, well it will but it takes like an hour.

It reminds, and sorry for the history Lesson, of the NAZI Elephant....big gun, impressive to look at but impractical to use...

If you want a Siege Tank there are better ones in your collection and elsewhere.

In summing up, do-not sub to this, and if you must...you will need to add a ton...or more of engines just to sort the turning and have to take many of the guns off of it....you only need enough to protect the Tank and the big Gun...the 20+ it has are too many...sorry but it, for me, is how i see it.
Also if you want to Transport people around the map..once again, all that weight...and the waiting for turning. etc. is not worth it either...

Sorry but I have to say, this is not worth it.

i added 20 hover engines and also put 4 more jet engines on each side then put 8 more jet 1x3x1 engines in the back and it would hover and it can go up and down the ramp but navegating the planet with all the cravasses it will not do it. got stuck a few times had to dig myself out , i need something powerful for high gravity and also not to big , but with the same fire power as a tank . i used your smaller tank mobile base on this planet had 30 hover engines to get it off the ground, maybe i need to use a gun ship these endgame worlds are hard to move around on the ground

@A. Max, I think a little of both. So, I am thinking in general of building new creations, but also refit older ones as time goes by. So far the Perses and Merc-MX2 have been updated. That isn't much yet, but I will continue to look at older creations and figure out which ones are in need the most. As in the Perses refit, the ship was over a year old and it took much more work than some newer ships will, but much of that was updating the interior to a fancier style etc. Thanks again!

Aye, it also follows all the ruels and is updated often, so it's not only a vessels job well done, but the creator's as well!...
On that note, do you plan on updating the vessels once A10 is out or are ye gonna do reimaginings with the new shapes, shields and etc. as a seperate vessels?

Thank you Samuel! Yes this is big tank and needs 13x7 hangar door. The model under this, the Demios-HT will fit in the 9x5 hangar door like the Carapace-C3. The CV's and bases I have that can support this are: (CV's) Perses Carrier, Hecate Carrier, Cerberus-NG, Nemesis Battle Cruiser, Gigacore-EX2 (BA) Sanctum Installation. I hope that helps. This is some superb build. It's now my HV of choice.
The only thing that bothers me a little is that the Gigantes is... well... gigantic xD
I can dock it inside the Waypoint Station but, even with my Incredible Precision Driving Skills™, Carapace C3 docking is a no-go. But the bigger (:lunar2019grinningpig:) problem is the Repair Station. The repair area is bigger than the already colossal vessel and it touches the hangar, making the console refuse repairing due the repair area being "obstructed".

For the base, easy solution: I can just make an platform outside and move the repair pad. But the CV can't take the vessel to the skies, so the colossus is stuck in the home world. Since the server I play have class restrictions (so no GigaCore) and vessel type restrictions (1 of each), I'll have to be happy driving this monster on my base's planet. But I'm NOT choosing another HV.

you need to remove the mining turrets. they are horribly placed for mining deposits and with the tool turrets it wont let you spawn. can only have 2 tool turrets and mining turrets count as tools.

Another well thought out vehicle, my hat off to you Jrandle , only wont let me build in 9.5 as it says it contain not allowed blocks or something , i dont suppose you know what mayi need to remove in creative to get this beast to allow me to build it in multiplayer.

Well this is a mobile HV based base. What I had in mind is that with drill turrets facing down, you could simply go over a deposit and mine it without leaving your vessel. Though, I totally forgot about meteors, so it makes the side turrets trully important in MP I guess. Also, you can use HV as SV in space, so that's a nifty thing to keep in mind.
